Tah-dahhh … my first ever 10k!

I’m that proud of myself 🥳

When I started C25K for the first time, I wondered if I’d make it through W5 and once done, I had strong doubts about competing the program … BUT I DID !

Following consolidation, I moved to 5k which I thought would be out of reach - BUT I DID IT!

I embarked on Juju’s MP (time) but really didn’t think I could keep running for 60min …BUT I DID !

Having completed C25K twice more after lengthy lay-offs, I started Juju’MP again but this time I did distance. Each week left me wondering if I could manage the increased distance … BUT I DID !

I am now working on changing my mind-set from

“what if I can’t” 🙄

To

“what if I can” 💪

I’ve found I’m capable of far more than I think and am now sitting here flushed with success of reaching a significant milestone … or should it be km marker 🤔

All of this of course would not have been possible without the amazing support, advice and encouragement from you, my virtual running buddies on this forum so a great big high 5 and thanks to you all 🙌 🙏 very much appreciated 🫶

Happy running everyone 🏃‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

Congratulations on your first 10k !Very well done 😁

For me 10k is probably my favourite distance to run (though it's been some time since my last one !)

Don't forget to claim your 'Graduate 10' badge here 😁👍

Thanks I57 - I finished thinking I’m not in a hurry to do that again but now a few hours have passed by, I’m planning a fresh route for the next one 🤣 not for a week or so though.

I’d forgotten about a badge so thanks for the nudge - I love a badge (such a child) 😉

Thanks Dijep - the distance might grow on me once I have more under my belt. I can only do it when I have 90 mins or so to play with so perhaps once a month ?

Got a nice Friday- Sunday planned seeing old friends so definitely going to treat myself with a cheeky red wine or two 🍷

Well done 61Lady; I still remember my first 10 k; Boxing Day 2018. These days I like long slow runs; it is amazing what we can do.🙂🏆

Well done you...such aa special run! My favourite distance,,, far enough to get into it and enjoy, not so far that you feel tired!

Like Instructor57 , I am not doing anywhere near that distance again ...yet! Than badge looks very good! On you go!

Well done indeed. That's a big achievement. A great distance to have 'under your belt as so many charity / run runs are either 5 or 10 k so you will have plenty of outings to choose from. Enjoy those treats.
