My first 10K

Yesterday morning I ran my first 10K. I still can hardly believe it, this morning. What a wonderful feeling! I began C25K last September and have managed to keep running over the winter, which I knew was going to be a challenge.

Encouraged by my children, who are now all running too, I decided to do Juju’s magic plan. It obviously worked. Thank you Juju. I’ve discovered that I run much better first thing in the morning-much more energy!

I’m still working on my husband; I’d love to get him started. I can’t find the right approach!?!

A friend has suggested that I try the great south run next (16K, 10 miles). I never thought I would see the day when I would even consider this. Maybe I could, if it actually happens.

Anyway, please keep getting out there. Some days are really hard and some really exhilarating. What better way of getting through the current lockdown.

Nice one - I did my first last week and just done no2 - not sure the knees like it much but it does give a sense of achievement. 16k - go for it - i put down for a HM earlier in the year and was pleased when I wasn't drawn for it but now having done the 10k thinking maybe it would be worth a go - onwards and upwards I say!
