Finally back on the paths….

Nothing special today, other than after 2 weeks illness and work, I’m finally back on the paths….

Looking back on Sept I seemed to have had a spell of colds and illness, topped up by some intense (but also exhilarating) work weeks.

Today was the first day back on the paths. I lined up the penultimate recovery run in my NRC plan, which is designed for a 5k recovery run. But I thought if my own health recovery meant I’d have to walk half of it, or stop earlier, so be it.

I did manage running 4.7k in a relaxed, slow recover pace and feel pretty great about that.

As my first run since two weeks, it also felt like running out all the cobwebs.

And the morning sun twinkled through the autumn leave tree canopy.

So a good start to the weekend! Happy running , everyone.

good to see you back again. You are fitter than what I think 4.7 km with stopping , well done. 😀

Thank you. Yes, I think 2 weeks rest keeps a certain amount of fitness. My knees felt great.

I was a bit more out of breath than usual, but i felt much better than expected, considering I was ill just a few days before,.
