Toes?? Anyone?

Dear Fellow Runners,

Over the past two or three months, I have noticed the last two toes on both my feet beginning to turn yellow and soften … no pain, just weirdly soft.

I run pretty much on a daily basis … I bought new ASICS Gel Kayano 28 and I have been running in them for about 6 - 7 months now - Is there a connection?

I can’t find anything online as it’s all Runners Toe (turning black etc.) and that is not what my symptoms are …

I have been using a type of Fungal Nail treatment, but I don’t think it’s really working …

Any suggestions?

Thank you all!

If you’re using the fungal treatment on the same toenails that are softening and yellowing then it’s most likely the treatment that’s causing this.

Maybe stop the treatment for a while and see what happens?

Thanks Irishprincess … I have been trying a few different things … it may be the dampness of the socks … I will try your suggestion.
