Managed a couple of 10k runs now but not really planned it out. Started c25k in May last year and apart from a 6 week injury lay off in Sep/Oct have run at least twice a week since. Totally in love with it all. Any help with successfully moving to 10k and beyond would be appreciated. My next goal is half marathon distance next year 🤞

I felt coming here was like moving up to big school but you will see the same faces and have the great support and advice that is on C25k. You've already run 10, so definitely worthy. Did you know that there is a marathon and race support forum also?
Welcome- we are all the same as you, started with that 1st step. And if you've already run 10k twice you're doing great? If that was a typo and you want to start planning your 10k journey have a look st the 10k plan. Happy running 🤗
Well, hello my lovely! You are totally worthy since you've already run 10k. I've been here ages and still not managed 10k, and nobody's booted me off the bridge yet. It's a great place for support for doing JuJu's magic plan but you may already be beyond that. Also lots of gardening advice should you need it 😁
Hello Vintage! Well done on your 10ks - brilliant stuff! I’m not quite there yet but plodding slowly closer towards it! You’ll find loads of friendly faces here on the Bridge and all the usual support you’d expect. You’ll probably know some of the names on the marathon site as well if you’re brave enough to dip your toes in there as well!
Having completed some 10ks, you are ahead of the game here; you know that you can do this. I have always found that the daftest questions( believe me I have pushed the boundaries ) receive the most civil of replies. For me, apart from just being amongst lots of really supportive and funny people, the great benefit of these sites is that you can always be confident that you are headed in the right direction both to achieve your goal (which tends to be a moving target) and avoid/ deal with the inevitable strains and tears we all suffer. It’s fun!!😊
I live mainly on the 5K end of the bridge. I’m a big parkrun fan and a 30 minute 5K run is fine by me. Why put myself under anymore stress than that. But every now and then I move into the middle of the bridge and do 7K. And then I do something stupid like enter a 10K road race. Of course I then have to start training again for 10K and i work hard. But once the 10K road race is over I skuttle back across the bridge as fast as my legs can carry me and into my lovely comfortable 5K hut.
But this is such a lovely warm and friendly forum that no one cares that I live over here! 😀
