I've just got myself a pair of the Women's Ultra Run No-Show in bright yellow in the hope that they help prevent one of my toe nails going blacker due to it being squashed by the toe next to it. I found them comfortable as any other socks I've worn, but also more expensive than any other socks I've ever worn. They were about £20 from Amazon.
What are your thoughts? Do they protect toes? Have they other benefits?

I haven't tried those socks but wonder whether your shoes are large enough if your toes are squashed. My running shoes are at least a size larger than all other footwear. Happy running 🤗
Shoes feel fine and are a good half size bigger than I normally wear in trainers. My middle toe slightly crosses over the smaller one. I've always had awkward feet and have never, ever had a pair of shoes that feel perfect or made for my feet
Yes yes and yes. I don’t wear any ordinary socks at all now. I have bunions and two of my toes on each foot squash the next ones and I always used to rub blisters under my toes, even just walking . Not any more. I ran my HM last year and no blisters either or black toenails. I have several pairs of Injinjis ( I look out for sales on amazon) and 3 pairs of Karrimor (which I Love but they seemed to have discontinued them) and a couple of pairs of generic toe socks my daughter bought me for my birthday.
That's a glowing endorsement for toe socks. Thankfully I've never had blisters with Nike Pegasus shoes but I did when I briefly tried Hoka One One shoes.
I'm going to have to keep an eye open for them. I did wonder if they'd have a positive effect on the skin inbetween the toes. Mine gets quite sore too.
I was recommended toe socks by the running shop as I have Raynauds (Thankfully the guy in the running shop knew about Raynauds so was able to advise). These socks keep my toes separated so I won't get issues with compression making the Raynauds worse. Hopefully they will help in winter (I usually wear 2-3 pairs of socks in order to keep my feet warm and alleviate the pain of the Raynauds). They are a faff to put on but are so comfortable once on. I don't even realise that the toes are separate. I'm even thinking about buying some others for everyday use.
I certainly didn't find mine tight around the toes. It must be horrible running in the winter with Raynauds. I get very white fingers in the cold but that's nothing as bad as having pain with the cold.
I have yet to face the joys of running in winter. I'm really not looking forward to it and will probably be going out looking like Michelin woman and returning with everything around my waist.
Yes I wear them for long runs to stop toes rubbing together. I have a few pairs in different weights. Awkward to get on but don’t notice that tire wearing anything different once you’re running. I also wear at least a full size up.
I got mine after someone recommending them on here. I wasnt too sure if I would like them, thinking they would feel too thick around my toes, but they are great, my feet are so much more comfy now.
I'm going to try mine again tomorrow on my 10km run and then look out for some in the sales. I really don't care what colour they are... but if they didn't clash with my green shoes then that would be great
