Oh great !!! Slipped getting out of the bath yesterday and have two cracks in my humerus... very painful. So annoying because I was just getting my mojo back. !!!

Has anyone had any experience of timescale after something like this ?

Oh no! Is your elbow immobilised or are you in a sling?

Its the top of my humerus shoulder area so in a sling. Too high for plaster. Very painful!

It all depends on how long it takes things to knit back together and the pain to go. Unfortunately, running involves a fair bit of arm movement even though it's not weight bearing.

Yes, strange how I am realising how much we use our arms , even to get up off a chair !

Oh dear, it sounds awful; what a painful nuisance. I expect there is nothing you can do but wait for it to heal.

I don't have experience with a broken arm. I did break my ankle last year and had 6 months with no running 😔

Oh dear! I am very sorry to read this. The advice that I was given regarding my fibula and tibula fractures which were undisplaced, that is still correctly lined up, was 12 weeks. Not very good news, sorry. I have no experience of humerus fractures, but I think that I have heard that bones generally take 12 weeks to fuse back together. Here are some flowers for you 🌹🌸🌺🌼🌻🌷💐, no need to water them so they won't place any demands on your poorly humerus.

I'm on the ic too with a medial meniscus problem, so we can keep each other company.
