I was getting my running kit on this morning, looked out the window and there was a teeny tiny hedgehog pottering about in the garden, far too small to make it through hibernation. So, gloves on, managed to catch him and whipped him off to Cricklade Wildlife Rescue. The good news is that in the spring I can have him back!
Two hours later than planned I'm out the door for this week's 10k. And it was the best so far! Thanks to being delayed by Mr Hedgehog I avoided the rain, though the wind was gusting up to 30mph. I laughed out loud a few times at the thought of what I must look like - arms and legs flailing but no discernable forward movement at all!
The new shoes were great. Not only did I have no pain, but they coped with slippery grass and slimy leaves really well.
And I took a couple of minutes off my previous time. God I love days like these, and I wish you all as good a run as I had!

So glad you had a great run TC and I’m soooooo glad you saved the dear little 🦔. One of my all time favourite little creatures! How lovely you could help him! 🏃♀️🦔❤️
I love them too. We have 2 others that come to our garden, but they're far bigger - they're obviously snaffling the food we put out before little one gets a look in!
