Early 11k

Up at 6, half a cup of coffee, big bite of blueberry cake and out the door. I'm starting a garmin hm training tomorrow... I've not done one yet thinking 10 miles was my limit but now wondering if I could actually do it, especially if I give myself the option of being able to Jeff every so often. Anyway today was a gentle 11 k over the heath. I saw a beautiful small snail and thought of you Oldfloss! I am very slow....more a trotter than a lolloper! Beautiful time of day to be out.

That's a good 11K run for you today Mormor1, well done, I am not sure what Oldfloss would think of you regarding the 🐌 snail you saw, well done on the run.

Only because OF often has an image of a snail on her posts.. I'm the slowest of the slow 🏃

Lovely run Mormor. You’ll achieve HM distance, and if you’re doing an HM training plan it’ll guide you all the way. Good luck, it’s a long way but if I can, you can!

Oh, I see Oldfloss ’s posts on Strava from time time, and I’d like to dispute that she’s a snail at all! 💥

Really was not alluding to speed...only to the snail picture she heads her posts with sometimes! You can't get much slower than me in terms of running.

Yes I’ve seen her snail photos too and think they’d be more appropriate to the likes of me! 😅

I just love them..and like I say on the C25K forum.. our paces are just our own and therefore perfect! The snails and I ... we just go together!

If this 70 year old can manage a HM, then any runner can! I have always said that I found increasing distances in chunks, 5 to 10k, 10k to 10 miles and 10 miles to HM got progressively easier, simply because you arrive at each milestone fitter, stronger and a bit wiser. Good luck with your programme.🙂

I'm so hoping that will be the case Beachcomber 66, hope I haven't left it too late.

Just go for it and don’t worry about whether you will get there. Enjoy it!

Thank you for taking me with you. I love being on folk's runs. Snails rock!!Your run sounds super...over the heath and far away...!

You'll make that HM...and in style too.. I did my first at 69! You'll love it...

Just follow the plan...slow and steady...and you will amaze yourself..!

Great run!

You can do anything you wish to...the only thing that could stop you....is you!.

I had enormous fun...even slowng???? down and taking photos en route...until my Son in Law pointed out that this was a race!

🤣

Definitely not a race for me. I will be doing it on my own if I do it,at the crack of dawn!

Well done on the 11k. I’m sure you could build from 10 miles to HM if you want to. Give it a go! Haven’t got there myself yet, of course.

🤣GailX! I graduated Sept 2020 so if I can attempt it so can you! You've done the 10 miles so nothing to hold you back... it would be fun to have your company along the way too.

That’s a good distance, I’m hugely ambitious when it comes to running, I remember getting back from my first 10k thinking I could go further, not at the moment though Enjoy your plan 😀
