Lol I got about 200 yards this morning and almost turned back! Itβs been SO long since I ran in the rain, I always seem to miss it. Not today however!
Anyway, off I went, nodding at other bedraggled running folk who all just rolled their eyes at me, as in why on earth do we do this!
I joined up 2 routes to make a longer route and despite the weather, genuinely really enjoyed it. I wasnβt going to break any records today, as my glasses were a bit misty despite my peaked cap and puddle dodging, oh, and also wringing my top out every so often! I found a little wooded footpath Iβve not been down before which made a nice change, although Iβm not so used to running on earth and grass.
Glad to be home and having a nice cup of coffee, and hoping everyone else has a great Sunday whatever youβre up to! ππββοΈπππΌπ¦ΆπββοΈππ¦΅π¦Άπ§

Bravo Frenc! There's something extra smug about running in the rain, it makes you feel like a superior being! πππ Seriously though, hats off to you for doing a long run in it - great pace too!
Ah thank you so much Fionamags. I have to say Iβm tucked up all comfy on my sofa now watching a film and it does feel good! All the best πππ.
Ooh well done Frenc!! I admire you for running in such conditions..and for so far πͺπββοΈ
Times are great.. I'd be thrilled with them π
Hope you well rested now and enjoyed your cuppa βπππ
Well done! I used to like running in the rain, but lately I feel really bad (physically) afterwards, so I try to avoid it. Though it may be rain and cold combined that is bad for me. Yesterday I ran half my 30 minutes in drizzling rain and felt fine afterwards. But it was not cold. So...
Thanks Evy, although I nearly turned back - hands were freezing. Iβm so glad I didnβt though. Mind you I was pleased to get home! Glad you felt fine yesterday πππββοΈππΌπ¦Ά.
Well done Frenc your making amazing progress! Also running in the rain is still a challenge! am repeating the 10k training plan again, it still a distance am a bit scared off. π―
Ah thanks limu_mu. I know what you mean about 10k, it can be daunting! I found myself getting quite a few niggles after them but have been doing leg strength to help and fingers crossed I feel stronger. All the best! πππββοΈππ£π¦΅
Well done you for running in the rain and being brave enough to venture off road! I kept to the pavements today because of the threat of rain. It didn't actually rain until I got the lawn mower outππ.Happy running.

Thank you Snail61! Isnβt that typical - as soon as you get the mower out, the rain starts π. Or maybe that was a good thing?! All the best.
