Hiya,

As I can't run on Tuesday (my 4-weekly IV against rheumatic arthritis), I first thought to run on Saturday - Monday - Thursday. But for no reason at all I did not reach my treadmill yesterday, so I will shift to Sunday - Wednesday - Friday. The week after I can't run on Tuesday nor Friday, so I fear that I will have to run 2 days after eachother by exception then.

Anyhow, so today was run-day. And again I actually looked forward to it. A run before lunch instead of after work, as it is weekend. Wifi working, tablet on a treadmill video, earbuds in and Spotify on. First some dynamic stretches and a warm-up walk. Connecting the Runn sensor to my watch, S2R app on and go!

24 minutes and I started at 4.1 km/h for the walking and 6.1 km/h for the running. Every interval I increased with 0.1 km/h to end at 4.6 km/h and 6.6 km/h.

Again I enjoyed it (yes yes I am enjoying running on my treadmill, who would have thought that?) and I felt I still had a bit left in me at the end. So a good run, even if with 2,15 km it is a far cry from my (one and only) 10 miler. But as it is the treadmill now, I still feel it is best to go this way (starting from 0).

Cheers, Evy

Great Evy another good run for you. I never do the stretch part of it for walking not sure if I really have to. I start anyway walking slower and get up to a brisk walk so I suppose I’m warming myself up. Keep it up. 👏

I think that is ok for walking. Though ofcourse you are a fast walker! But if you have not yet felt any niggles or soreness, I guess it is ok without the stretching?

You seem to have made a positive transition to the treadmill which is good 😊 and gets you moving

Thanks and yes, I have made a 180 degree shift in how I feel about the dreded machine. I think I might actually start to love him. I do miss being outside, but at the monent I feel mentally unable to cope with the possible dangers of running outside.

Then the treadmill is your savior because by running on it you will feel better all round
