What a great morning to go out running. Its mild, a little damp but the sky is blue. As I've not been out for a few days I was up at the crack of dawn desperate to go for a run. Mrs RfJ was not impressed at being shoved out of bed and ordered to get ready for work so early but hey ho!
With Mrs RfJ dropped off I headed into the City for a local parkrun track to do my intervals.
It was great fun, lots of runners around the park doing various training activities, the squirrels were also out in force. Simply wonderful. Except for the intervals that is. Holy cow I found them hard today but, onto week 3 of the NRC HM plan we now progress.
Happy running everyone.
PS having not run for two days I realised that actually, I hadn't left the house at all other than to drive my car ๐ณ. Its so easy to get isolated and locked away.
You are right about not leaving the house - especially for those of us working from home still. That's one of the reasons why I love running. No blue sky here this morning sadly - just grey cloud. The sun really does make a difference to your mood doesn't it.
Sounds like you actually enjoyed those intervals, though maybe not at the time! ๐
The sun does make a huge difference you are absolutely right. I loved the intervals - afterwards when driving home in the car ๐๐คฃ
So right about leaving the house, I am feeling a bit like a hermit. Anyhow, sounds like you enjoyed your run, even though it was hard with the intervals!

I have to admit BS that I feel a lot better emotionally having been out in the fresh air this morning ๐.
Sometimes even a 10 minute walk can do the trick ๐
Sounds great and with a lot of activity around, including squirrels, it sounds joyous!I know what you mean about those days you don't go out at all they can be brutal and my mood always dips.
Intervals are tough! My attempt this morning was not too impressive! Only about a minute per k difference between my comfortable running pace and my fast running pace ๐คฃ
A minute difference per km is superb in my book Roxdog. About the same as me.
Although today my 1 mile pace was slower than my 5k pace. In my mind I was a finely tuned athlete zooming through the park. Sadly the message didn't reach my legs ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
