The things we do for those we love π₯°π€« Mrs Wife accepted a lift to work last night as the NHS gave her 2hours notice of a nightshift requirement π€.

Mrs Wife duly collected this morning and vegetables purchased from Morrison's....
TAKE NOTE NHS WORKERS ARE GETTING 10% OFF SHOPPING UNTIL MID JULY JUST SHOW YOUR ID BADGE..
And at last we've arrived back home π₯³.
Mrs Wife fed and watered and directed to bed.... Shssssssssss it's run time ahhhhh. Feel free to come along even if only virtually ππππ.
Wales is still shut and everywhere is quiet, though the nesting bluetit in our fir tree didn't get the memo chuffing ek for a little ball of feathers it's loud π and normally cheeps goodbye as I leave the house laced up.
Come on then...
Down the lane, across the road and not a trail today but a towpath, it's already warming up and the sections of shade and sun work well together. Two of my neighbours part like the red Sea as I approach with a cheery greeting at a safe distance. Then suddenly its just Lil ol me not a soul, not even a duckπ§ where have all the ducks gone..... Onto my favourite section of towpath it's like a lost Jurassic world, with it's ancient bent over trees and the farmland that lets the cattle just dip their toes in the water as the bank is a gradual slope in sections.
No tunnel running today, I'm leaving the towpath and heading for the hills surrounding the national trusts Chirk Castle. The lane is a nice running venue, wide enough for two vehicles and myself. It passes the now defunct golf course, it's being returned to farmland. The lane rises slowly and steadily it's a hill that lures you in. Probably rising gradually over a distance of 2.5k up to the castle entrance and yes it does drain the legs π₯΅π₯΄. I hear myself saying to myself keep on going its not time for a drink yet 5k in, the legs have got 2wind and upwards and onwards more secretly sly cunningly sloping hills. It didn't feel this hilly last time I was out here on my bike π΄π΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈπ΅.
I'm glad of my drink bottle at 7.5k quick drink piccie of the castle and could I drag my legs up the next hill hmmmm... Next time, but I will get up it just not today. Today is a turn around and retrace one's steps. It's so nice to hit the hills going down knowing you've ran up them π.
The sun's getting warm even at this hour, the shade of the towpath is extremely welcome. I took a water break on a newly crafted bench that the canal volunteers have made where a large tree came down blocking the canal. Slight blip on distance I only intended to go out for an hour doing 10k but I've left myself too far out to walk, so it's plan B carry on running, heading out to the aqueduct, but towpath congestion π¬ it's definitely not wide enough to pass. I'm useless at jogging on the spot, quick chat to a runner getting back into getting herself fit after babies and I decide to head home, making up a route adhoc to total 15k..... Ians little legs are a tad tired hills are evil π€« but saying that I feel revitalized for running.....
So go on get yourself out there..... You're running out of excuses not to run, I did π
Keep safe and healthy everyone
Happy running
