... so I just had time - 40 minutes in total - to run up the river and back, on my way to fetch them.
I’ve been skimping on faster runs recently in favour of getting the distances my HM plan has been asking of us for Long Runs at something approaching a steady pace, so today’s time constraint gave me an ideal opportunity to ‘beat the clock’. I didn’t go all out, but tried for 800m (ish) Intervals, with 30s slow sections, which give me some practice reading info on my new watch. Maybe another day I’ll set it for 800m intervals - which I’m fairly certain is a thing it can do.
Really enjoyed running in the cold (and I’m pretty sure Merlin did too) not least of all because the grass was frosty enough for me to not get wet feet, even right beside the river.
6.22k in 34:07 made me very happy.
