Sunday morning 4 miler

It was quite mild this morning so what better way to kick off a Sunday morning than with Coach Bennett and a 4 miler. I left Mrs RfJ under the duvet.

There were lots of runners out today possibly taking advantage of the mild morning. Most appeared to be the gazelle type runners who didn't play "Good Morning" games with me. However there were plenty of dog walkers and runners of a similar status to me who happily waved as we appreciated each others efforts.

Overtaken up the hill but it gave me the opportunity to watch someone's form from behind. Nice short quick steps. I adjusted my gait accordingly as I was slightly overstriding by now.

It felt great to be out running in the early morning again. Sadly no tea was waiting for me on my return as Mrs RfJ was still under the duvet. Lazy sausage 🤣😁

The really earnest looking gazelles are often wrapped up in their own worlds, aren't they?

They really are. Totally focused on something or other. I think I would rather be happy with the world 😊👍

What a great run, I’d love to have the energy to go further but maybe tomorrow, no tea??? It took years for Willow to get that making tea as i walk in the door means it’s too hot to drink so he always makes it a bit before he expects me home, but…. I make the morning tea which he drinks in bed, so I hope you took her one?

I sure did. I think that is my full time job 😊☕

Good for you to get out there. I better get up out of my lazy bed and see how my leg is with a run.

Yeah!🙌🙌🙌 Another early morning run to enjoy. (We were probably running at the same time: It was a Coach Cory fartlek for me today!)

I had my fartlek session on Friday which was really good. I was aching a lot on Saturday hence doing marshal duties at parkrun. Somehow though I ended up running more than 5k up and down the fields between the gates due to a bit of miscommunication.

I was thinking about not going out this morning as I really need a non run day but, it was such a nice morning I couldn't resist.

I will do the 15 minute recovery run tomorrow then rest day Tuesday. 👍

Oh, yes, don’t forget your rest days. And especially after the unexpected miles put on your marshal legs.
