Good morning fellow runners - just back from my short 3k run of the week, complete with gloves and beanie hat I was out there at 7.30 Here in Northants there is no snow but its a very frosty -6 degrees this morning. All the people wrapped in multiple layers on their way to work were looking at me as though I was crazy, they maybe right but strange as it may seem I do actually like running in the cold and even the snow when we have it . . . stay warm everybody
It was a very cold one this morning, -6 !!! - Bridge to 10K

Brrrr!!! Well done you.... Fog and ice here today! Too dangerous to run... so... you have done well... What a great start to your day!
I have to confess my first thought was to wait a few hours until it got a bit warmer up but I'm glad I didn't, I really enjoyed it when I got warmed up . . . I was even tempted to turn the heating down when I got home

You are not crazy, you are very brave to run in -6C/21F temperatures, glad you enjoyed your run in the cold, where I am in Central Scotland the 9 am temperature was -7.3C/19F and I am just to go out for a walk, not a run. To me the problem in cycling or running in those sort of temperatures is that I feel very cold if I don't put on enough clothes, if I do, then I am sweating inside and still freezing outside, hence no cycling or running until it gets a bit warmer.

Yes, it was pretty cold here in Gloucestershire too at 7.30 this morning, but the frosted trees looked beautiful. I was tempted to stop for a quick photo but didn't fancy taking my gloves off! Apart from my hands (so numb I could hardly unlock the door when I got back) I was warm enough in my normal running gear and I agree with you, Orangeguy, I like feeling (mostly) warm while running in the cold.

I tend to run warm, but I decided not to risk the ice. Might have gone out if it had warmed up but it didn’t, so walking the dog was my exercise today 🐶
Yep that’s pretty crazy 😜.

Just two walks a day with my dogs for me I’m afraid, not brave like you.

Pavements are the worse for ice, if you go "off road" then there is more grip, you have to get there of course though
