Good afternoon runners! I hope you are all well and that your weekend runs have been enjoyable and pain free 🤞🏻

I got up this morning with a 5k in mind, was called to work Friday/Saturday so had taken a couple of rest days from running and missed my planned parkrun.

1st km felt great, 2nd was slower and by 2.5 my legs were giving up, I pushed on until 3km and then had to call it, just couldn't run another step, legs were like lead weights.

I continued on walking for a nice 3km which felt absolutely fine and took me under 30 mins.

I then decided to have another go at running and managed another 1.5km before I had to stop again.

After some breakfast and a rest I ended up walking around the park for a couple of hours. Finished the day on around 19000 steps.

Plan for morning is a 20km bike ride all being well.

Enjoy your 20K bike ride tomorrow, well done on those 19.000 steps✅✅like my reply to you earlier I hope it won't be too long until you can run more that 3K without having heavy lead like legs.

that sounds like a mighty number of steps. I am in awe of those numbers. Super well done!

That's loads of steps in a day, and after being called in to work no wonder your legs are tired. enjoy your bike ride then I'd take a couple of rest days and try a really slow run and see how far you get 😁.Good luck and have fun
