Woke ar 5am took dog out for her usual snails pace walk of 30 mins brr foggy and chilly.

Back home banana and a drink some stretches then a brisk 2.5k walk to the park

Realised I'm overdressed leggings, long sleeved t shirt track suit jacket, dayglow waistcoat, gloves.

Starting point at parkrun about 3dozen of us but was cancelled owing to icy paths, those of us that were there set off anyway.

I had to keep stopping because of feeling uncomfortable with my t shirt riding up.

Just managed once round nipped into the gym loo break downloaded NRC app clicked on start and jogged home the 2.5k.

Conclusion No1 dont go overdressed

No2 I think I jog better on my own I'm not so out of breath even though my run was slower at 8.40

I may try the PR next week just to give it another go

Happy running everyone

Well you did fine, at least you got out there despite the weather and oh I know that feeling of too many layers and the tee shirt riding up, well done for keeping going

It sounds like there were lots of cancellations yesterday. Yes do go back and if you want to stop yourself getting carried away too fast, start near the back and run at your pace.

Good luck with the park run. Definitely not my thing, but worth giving it a try!

Definitely a mish mash so well done to you. Just do what makes you happy 👍

I was out there with too many layers on too....two bars of gloves and socks, buff, long sleeve t, long leggings, jacket...thought it was 6' but the car said 10.... Lots of layers came off but still had too many for my 6k...lesson learnt!

Yep far to many layers but taking them.off one by one we would have to carry them all 🤣🤣 so true lesson learned we soon warm up
