On Thursday I tried running at 0530. I don’t know about other people but my digestive system hasn’t woken up at that hour. It really didn’t want me to run and I felt dreadful when I got home.
Today I woke up about 0540 and took things a bit more gently, leaving the house about 0630. Definitely better although the first km still felt awful. But a beautiful cool morning, which really helps. No one around but me, birds and a very distant hot air balloon
I am finding that I run best with a break in the middle. In this case I ran 2.5k, then walked an uphill and very wet footpath for about 1.5k - fortunately the water runs out of my On trainers almost as fast as it runs in. Then running again for the 2.5k home. It seems to work because Strava has awarded me PBs for 1k (6.39), half a mile and 400m.
It’s so nice to get home and still feel cool!
I’m a loooooong way from 10km but at least I can imagine that it’s now possible....given a couple of hours....
