Hello sunshine ☀️ and a Jeffing run to the top of the hill

What a difference waking up to the sunshine makes!

Dabby-dot, our dog Isla and I headed out to our woodland trails and headed up the hill for the beautiful view over the South Downs. Needless to say our route was rather muddy in places, the recent days of heavy rain making this a rather squelchy puddle dodging run, but it was fun.

All showered off now, including Isla who’s drying off in front of the fire. Dabby-dot made us omelettes for breakfast, delicious. 🍳 😋

Our Jeffing run was 5 mins walk either side of a 3:1 run:walk in 42 minutes. One more step in the right direction towards that March 10k my sister has signed me up for 😂!

Brilliant DD what a great Sunday outing and who doesn't love an omelette ending 👍

That looks lovely. Very impressed with your hill running - I nearly exploded the last time I tried it! 🤣🤣🤣

That made me laugh Fionamags, but to me you will always be the woman who conquered Arthur’s Seat 🏆 😊.

I think "conquered" is a bit strong. I managed it non-stop a long time ago. The last couple of times I did it there was a lot of walking involved. 🤣🤣🤣

It makes a huge difference. I'm excited just seeing the forecast for early-morning sun! It's happened three times this week for me. Sounds like you had a smashing run with Isla and how lucky to come home to a hot breakfast.

Our parkrun can be VERY muddy (last 2 weeks have been challenging!) and one of our runners is Swedish. She tells us they have a word for squelching mud. It’s “geggamojja”. Good luck for your March run.

I love that word - it looks perfect for squelchy mud, just need to work out how to say it 😂!

It’s ge-ga-mo-ya. The ‘mo’ as in mop. She gave us a voice note! Hope you use it!

Well done, very courageous to struggle against the mud! Especially with my new running shoes I have a fear of mud now, haha. Cute pupper!
