Finally this morning the sun shone. Somehow I'd got 9 1/2 hours sleep, I usually manage 7, my cold had cleared up and I felt great. Mr OBK has been told not to run but kindly offered to walk with me and read his book while I ran circuits round the stadium. It's quite chilly here, around 4 degrees C, and I didn't want him catching cold so decided on the NRC 10 minute run.
I discovered that you can't download BBC Sounds music in Russia, which was annoying, but for 10 minutes it was neither here nor there. We walked to the park with the stadium and I ran off. I didn't really fancy 10 minutes going in circles so ran into the trees. A white cat with grey splodges was on my path ahead and started to run ahead of me. My own (me-owwwn) personal trainer. He got bored quickly and ran off. I just ran off, I wasn't bored at all. Spent about 8 minutes in the woods then in the final couple of minutes ran 3 times round the track, each lap around 200m.
The only problem with such a short run is that it's over so quickly. I made an effort to run faster than normal and covered 1.36 km, not bad for me. I'd rather have been out for longer but for today this was the right thing to do.
