I decided today to see if running on the ‘old treadmill’ would make my hip a bit happier so off I went to the gym. Well I can’t believe I did C25k first time round on the treadmill. After 20 minutes today I was bored senseless. But I did manage 20 minutes of running so I’ll see how the old hip goes tonight and if it’s ok maybe I’ll have do my running on the treadmill for the foreseeable future. O dear I really need to sort my music 🎶 out if that is going to be the case. But hey ho a run is a run I suppose 🤣🤣happy running everyone 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
A boring 20 minute run: I decided today to see... - Bridge to 10K
A boring 20 minute run
Probably better to run outside if that's possible, nevertheless that was a good, boring run for you today on the dreadmill 🏃🏾👍
Yes I know outside is so much better but think the treadmill might be more gentle on my hip 🙃🙃
Well done on still going, the treadmill will be much better until you heal. Try an audiobook, or a podcast they pass the time well.
Just see it as a means to an end. Hopefully you'll soon be back in the great outdoors Scruff. I've never been a gym bunny - my weight lifting yesterday was carting compost bags around 😊.
Yes I know it is letting me do a bit of running without the hip being damaged further but it is tedious. Well done on your weightlifting 🤣🤣 Hope the garden is rewarding you with lovely flowers 💐 🙏🙏🙏
The garden is slowly coming alive at last. Always a tricky time with so much to do there but also the warmth makes me want to put on my running shoes more too.
I did all of C25K and Bridge to 10k on the treadmill and then transitioned outside. You just have to learn to distract yourself, lol, cos it can get really boring Many a shopping list was compiled, lists of things to do, what's for dinner tonight, memories from songs on my song list, just let your mind wander
My other tip, for me, is to cover the time / distance on the treadmill with a towel or something otherwise I watch the seconds counting off, which gets really old after an hour
