Well so it was but I hadn’t run for over a week so I thought I’d just go out and see what happened. A ridiculous amount of faffery is what happened but hey ho. After yesterday’s 50mph winds and horizontal rain and hail, today was gorgeous; not particularly warm but beautifully sunny and only a light wind on our seafront. It’s amazing what a little sunshine can do, there were so many ‘good mornings’ today! It should have been a Coach Cory NRC 20 minute easy run but I don’t know where CC was, he didn’t speak at all! I got a disembodied voice at the 10 minute mark and another one to tell me I’d done 20 minutes but nothing else! Operator error I’m sure but you’d better be on parade next time out CC! 2 unexciting pictures for you, one of the beach where the sea has calmed right down after yesterday and the seafront ‘road closed’ sign because the pebbles thrown up by the sea make it dangerous to drive along there.

Looks like a lovely day for a run where you are! Definitely better than yesterday.
Maybe you set your NRC to the Quickrun setting instead of the guided run? I often set a distance, say 3 or 5 km, and it prompts me every km. Sounds like it was doing that for you but with time?
Coach Cory can't normally be described as quiet!!
I think you’re probably correct YLG; my shaky Parkinson’s hand can’t be trusted to tap on the right place so I got that rather than the one I’d actually downloaded! Ah well, it’s all a learning experience isn’t it?!
20 Mins is better than no mins Oldgirlruns , which is what I’ve achieved so far. An early dental appointment and a lot of other diversions and I’m nearly there. If you want me to take you through NRC sometime just let me know.

Lovely 20 minute run OGR. 😀 Never mind about Coach Cory being quiet. It’s not often that happens, and you ran anyway. Make the most of it; he’ll be jabbering away next time I’m sure (or one of his buddies of course).

Currently I have Covid. Before that I had restarted C25K after a few months of back bother. I’m looking forward to getting back to it when I am better. - I seem to have more interruptions than actual running.🙄
Yes definitely a beautiful morning. Not sure when you were running OGR but we may have just missed you as we took the granddaughters down to the beach first thing. Picking up pebbles✔️, writing in the sand✔️, ice cream(bubble gum flavour- yuk)✔️, playing on the machines in the arcade(£1 of 2ps go a long way!)✔️ - mission accomplished!
Well done you and Mrs JP! I was later getting out than planned because of too much faffery but on the plus side, at least it meant I was still at home when the surgery telephoned to make an appointment for me to go in!
A run is a run 🏃♀️. Sounds like you pressed ‘non-guided run’ rather than ‘guided run’. Easy to do as the buttons are close together. Coach Cory is definitely not quiet!

That happened to me the other day, it was meant to be a Headspace run with Andy P, they did the first 5 min bit, then said we'll be back in a bit, but never came... I set it off again from the beginning and the same thing happened. I listened to that podcast on another run and it worked fine...guess they get grumpy like the rest of us...

It is lovely Curlygurly2; I love being by the sea but do get just a little envious of other runners pics of beautiful countryside where they run!
I listened to a 5k run a couple of weeks ago and the commentary didn’t start. I thought I’d pressed non- guided run by mistake so just carried on. Then about 15 mins later the commentary started and was continual. C Bennett said, ‘I’ll be back at 500m’ then came straight back without a break. By the end of the run he had caught up 😂. Daniel the sound engineer messed up big time on that one 😂
I’m beginning to think running without any tech at all is probably the best way to go Fb67!
I do like the bits where he shuts up 😂. I used to run with music behind the commentary but now I just embrace the quiet bits 😊
The weather has been bonkers lately. You don’t know from one minute to the next what it’ll do! Wonderful that you got out, even if you were abandoned by the app! That occasionally happens to me too. Coach b better be there tomorrow or we’ll have words!
Coach B definitely seems to be a bit wayward at times doesn’t he!
