Life has been very busy lately so I haven’t been posting but I have still been running three times a week, although sometimes only 3km in between meetings! I decided for now one 10km a month was a good target and today I completed my third - my fastest yet and a whole 5 mins faster than my graduation effort at the end of August so I was pleased with that! And now I’m off to Runners Need for some new shoes as a reward

Thank you! I was a bit more ambitious when I first graduated but I think this is a more realistic goal for now and it’s still a lot more than I imagined I could do 6 months ago so I’m happy with that for now
Thank you - the other day I only had 15 mins but I remembered your posts about doing even 10 mins after work so I went for a quick sprint and felt much better for it!
Interesting choice of route, all on roads. If I was doing it round there I'd have used the two canals (Ashton and Rochdale). I suppose keeping to the pavements is a bit safer.
Well done! That's a great time for 10km. The more you run the more you'll shave off that time. 👍
I use the canals when I run with my husband (although there’s been lots of closed sections recently due to all the building work, which is frustrating) but I don’t feel safe doing it on my own so I always stick to main roads.
That's what I guessed. In particular, the Ashton canal feels very isolated in places around there, which is surprising when you're so near the centre of a big city. I've walked it a few times, but not recently.
Oh that is fantastic. Well done and a great time. I hope you enjoy your little present. 👏👏
