BUPA 10mile programme - 1st week

Hello!

So the 1st week of the Beginner plan is completed.

It was pretty easy, I must say, as this week's runs were short and encouraged to be done at easy pace.

Run1 is 30 mins at easy jog and so I run 4.33k according to my Garmin.

Run2 was exactly same, but I managed 4.52k

Both of those runs I had steady breathing, did not really get tired. It was so nice and relaxing that I started to think of my first weeks of C25k and how running for 30mins seemed to be an impossible task back then - how it all changed!

Run3 was yesterday, that requires to run 2 miles, which I did in 19min24s and I am pretty happy with the time.

In summary - easy relaxing week.

I am looking forward to Week2, which looks quite similar to this one ( but Run2 will be 40mins).

Happy Running!

I’ve not seen these Bupa running plans before. I like the website, nicely laid out and lots of information there. I think you can’t read too much information. 🙂

Thanks for the tip and enjoy your journey to 10 miles, RunGirl.

I’ve started the Garmin plan, I’m a couple of weeks in. But you never know, I see there’s a Bupa marathon plan too. 🙂

Oh I have not seen the Garmin plan yet 🙂Yeah, I noticed the marathon plan, but the distance itself seems too scarey for me as of yet 🤯

Me too. Marathons need a lot of consideration.

The Garmin plan is associated with the running watch. You select the plan on the app and it progammes each run on the watch.

Oh that sounds cool! I will have to download that app and check after I am done with the current programme
