Whoop whoop!!

Week 7 smashed! That went surprisingly smooth despite increased workload this week and weather playing up.

I think I need to get some shopping done for a warmer gear - it is getting cooler out there and I only have 1 warm jacket and 1 long joggers.

Is there anything in particular you like to wear for winter runs? What do you find helpful to keep warm?

I was thinking about thermal vest or sth as I do not want to catch a cold.

Now with the story...

Run1 was 40min Interval Running, so like previously I did 5 min warm up jog, then intervals with 30sec sprint and 2min rest jog in between the sprints. After that 5min cool down jog. However this time instead of 8 intervals, I did 12 and I was happily tired after.

Run2 on Thursday I did 50min Easy run, so I treated this as a really slow jog, I chose flattest route available locally to actually relax the muscles.

Run3 today was a Long Run 60min and I covered 9.4k and that including 185m elevation gain so I am chuffed!!

Bring on week 8!

Sounds like a great plan, a really interesting running mix - with sprints! 🙂

I’ve not worn one but I think the trouble with a thermal vest is if you get too warm running, it’ll be tricky to take off. I suppose it depends on how cold it gets.

Yeah, I learnt to love the Intervals! They are hard, but it feels so good to know that I can manage the challenge. Ao it is all worth it.

What a great run, winter running wear, layers so you can peel them off as you get warm
