Is that the sun I see?

Went for an early run this morning while everything was still a bit misty.

The harvest is nearly over now so the wildlife has nowhere to hide. That made the run a bit slower as one of us (Pitta πŸ•) was more interested in the paths of young pheasants, a hare and a deer than the tracks we were supposed to be running on.

Still a lovely 4.5k. And I'm really glad we went early because its surprisingly hot now πŸ₯΅πŸ˜„

What a beautiful picture Lifluf! It really shows the ending of summer doesn’t it? Think you’re right about getting out early - it’s baking here on the south coast so I’ll be doing my run early tomorrow morning!

Hope you have a good one OGR.Yes, despite the lovely warmth there's still a feeling that autumn is waiting in the wings. I'm very fond of autumn if it's not too soggy 🀞🀞

Well it was manic last weekend as the farmers were working all hours. There were tractors, trailers, bailers and combines working all day and half the night (quite impressive seeing them work in the pitch black). But its back to peace and quiet now. Just the way I like it!πŸ™‚

Thanks Grannyhugs. It was an early run or no run today. I don't think the dog would have managed any later either. I love the feel of running first thing in the morning though.

You can feel the imminent rising thermometer just by looking at your photo! And sense the arrival of autumn too.

It didn't take long for the mist to burn off this morning.

I bet Pitta was very excited with all that wildlife out and about πŸ₯° 🐾 what a beautiful picture, it's so evocative, I do love autumn πŸ‚πŸ are those pheasants in the background? Well done on that 4.5k and very wise to go out early, it is very warm out there! β˜€οΈπŸ˜Ž

Yes, if you look carefully you can see a gaggle/flock of young pheasants. They don't fly away - just run - which entices Pitta even more 😏. She had a great time though.
