Went for an early run this morning while everything was still a bit misty.
The harvest is nearly over now so the wildlife has nowhere to hide. That made the run a bit slower as one of us (Pitta ๐) was more interested in the paths of young pheasants, a hare and a deer than the tracks we were supposed to be running on.
Still a lovely 4.5k. And I'm really glad we went early because its surprisingly hot now ๐ฅต๐

What a beautiful picture Lifluf! It really shows the ending of summer doesnโt it? Think youโre right about getting out early - itโs baking here on the south coast so Iโll be doing my run early tomorrow morning!
Hope you have a good one OGR.Yes, despite the lovely warmth there's still a feeling that autumn is waiting in the wings. I'm very fond of autumn if it's not too soggy ๐ค๐ค
Well it was manic last weekend as the farmers were working all hours. There were tractors, trailers, bailers and combines working all day and half the night (quite impressive seeing them work in the pitch black). But its back to peace and quiet now. Just the way I like it!๐
Thanks Grannyhugs. It was an early run or no run today. I don't think the dog would have managed any later either. I love the feel of running first thing in the morning though.
I bet Pitta was very excited with all that wildlife out and about ๐ฅฐ ๐พ what a beautiful picture, it's so evocative, I do love autumn ๐๐ are those pheasants in the background? Well done on that 4.5k and very wise to go out early, it is very warm out there! โ๏ธ๐
Yes, if you look carefully you can see a gaggle/flock of young pheasants. They don't fly away - just run - which entices Pitta even more ๐. She had a great time though.
