So over excited, far too excited for a woman of my advanced years, but having just watched the news...oh my goodness!
I SHALL continue to run... with the support of the wonderful people , ( apart from everyone here), who have kept me strong...through thick and thin, up the steepest hills, in the direst weather and through some of the lowest moments, and of course acted ( with my apologies) as a source of my amazingly awful ear worm songs
Chiquitita has exactly the tempo for my slow and steady pace and...Waterloo has been with me for so long, it can ensure that I am able to finish any run...
There is really no hope for me...is there?
Sorry if you don't care for Abba...but I do !
Floss x

You look amazing, I was beginning to look short and wide but at last some of my giving up smoking weight is going away, probably off to find some other poor soul whoβs just given up smoking and eating like thereβs no tomorrow xx
I saw ABBA at Wembley Arena in November 1979. I had the scarf, badge, knew every single word to every single song on every single album (and I probably still do!)
You didnβt seriously expect nobody to reply?? Are you sure the picture isnβt your avatar (Abbatar?) You look more like a Dancing Queen than someone who just ran 10k π
Ha ha...all the ABBA lovers have owned up...I knew I wasn't alone..I knew Hidden loved them...but..thisxhas been fabulous. I ran with an extra zing in my step this morning!
It sounds as if they still have their wonderful harmony. Iβve always loved βThe Way Old Friends Doβ and was disappointed it wasnβt featured in the films βΉοΈ
It is amazing, a new album πππ I have still have the first box set of 5 vinyls they brought out in the early 80βs. I still love to put them on my record player and sing a long while Iβm doing housework. Dancing Queen was also the first song played for me on my wedding evening πππ
Amazing photo π

Oh wow. That is quite something exercise, housework, music..perfect.Lovely to have that memory of your wedding day too .
I have favourite running pikkies, that Mr OF has taken, another one, I have flying feet ! Doesn't happen often x
Isn't that fantastic news about ABBA, there was a feature about them on BBC Breakfast News this morning, it made me put on ABBA on my Spotify app and listen to 3 hours and 20 minutes from ABBA.
During that time I got the bus to Dunfermline and walked around the Dunfermline Parkrun course. the ABBA tracks started at 7.40 as I left my house and finished at 11 o'clock when I got home, a wonderful morning of music and walking.
Absolutely...but I do have a very steady 1234 pace and many of the tracks carry that beat...I use Chiquitita as a warm up...slow intro' is the steady ready to run, and the chorus.. just carries me on and everywhere:)I do run nekkie, though sometimes too ( no music)... sometimes the silence or the sound of the world is all you need
ABBA are the Swedish Band that won the Eurovison Song Contest in Brighton in 1974 with the song Waterloo, during the 1970's they were the top group for hits as the Beatles were in the 1960's.
