...is my race report from my first HM. Those of you making your way to 10k be inspired! I took the leap of faith across earlier this year. You will find lots of familiar faces over there who have done likewise with great tips for all sorts of race prep including park runs - not only marathons.
As if I wasn't excited enough about completing my first HM, they've only gone and picked ME from 970 photos as the cover shot for the Flickr album of the event!
There I am, number 126. Fame at last! Admittedly, they have removed my head. And legs (maybe it was because of the varicose veins). I shall retire now as I can never top this.
C25k is such a great starting point for wherever you want your running to go. Keep running and keep enjoying it.

Not surprising that they picked you for the cover shot...so nicely turned out and that technique ....a proper runner, short light steps, shoulders down and relaxed, they can tell you have prepared well and had great coaching... maybe even been chased by a few zombies Runner 126!
You must feel so proud, and lovely to have the pictures to remember it all.😊xx
I was tempted to have the Zombies 20k mission running with me but as no headphones allowed I didn't want to put off others! I may never complete that mission (well not all in one go). I think the Zombie chases in training, often uphill, definitely helped me keep running where others stopped to walk.
