Hiya,
In my quest to run again (after an involuntary break of 3 weeks), I 'had' to do a run today. The weather was warm, but good, so an outside run it is!
I found out that I had forgotten to take out the original soles in my running shoes before putting in the special pronation soles. So that was the reason my shoes felt so uncomfortably tight! Oops...
I started with a toxic ten, though after those 10 minutes they did not seem all that bad after all. It is obvious though that my fitness level has sunk hard. I seriously need to build it up slowly again.
I wanted a little challenge, so I thought to try for negative splits. Starting slow and increasing my pace slightly after each kilometer (I did 3,4 km in total). I succeeded, but it did not feel nice. Maybe I did not start of slow enough or I increased too much?
Anyhow, I did my 30 minute run!
Cheers, Evy
