Ooh I'm so pleased to have managed my 10K run this morning, skipping injury hopefully behind me now 🀞

Set out slow and the first 5K was tough, I think I was overthinking..will the ache come back.. felt I was running a bit tenderly.. but once I got into the second 5K things got back to my normal and I managed to pickup pace a little on the last few K's πŸ™

Can't tell you how happy I am to have got a longer run in, and back on track with the HM training plan πŸ’ͺ

Feeling good after my shower, no aches.. and my new trainers are feeling great πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘

Happy Running all πŸ™ŒπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Well done Sparky, I didn’t run this morning as I had backache all last night. Hope to run 2morrow.

That’s great. No aches . You do tend to go careful at first just to make sure you feel ok, and you obviously did and had a great runπŸ‘I bet it felt good in your new shoes. What is your training plan for the HM?

Thanks Dups πŸ‘I had got up to 10Miles the week before my injury,

wasn't really following a plan as such , I had just been increasing my distance by a K or two every week, and a less mileage week once a month..

I'm going to try 12-14K at the weekend if my midweek 5K goes ok and I'm sure I've no effects of the injury..

So dropped back a couple of weeks, just to build up again πŸ’ͺπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ™

How's your running been since your 10 Miles ? πŸ’₯

So just increasing slowly. I sure you will build back up quickly πŸ‘My running has been great. A PB 5k and a PB 10k yesterday. Didn’t enjoy the 10k, I had my new shoes on for time and went off way too quickly and at was really warm. So even though it was a PB it was awful. I’m used to running really early in the mornings but I was too eager to try the shoes. Lessons learnt πŸ₯΅

5k early in the morning hopefully. Does everyone do a HM non stop? I did for the 10 miles but I don’t know if I can for a HMπŸ₯΅

I know you've been doing brilliantly!!! Enjoy your 5K in the morning, mad how we call it a short run now πŸ˜‚

When I run a longer run the only time I stop is for a quick drink..

I'm sure as we progress further, maybe a few more drink stops.. especially on the warmer days.. 🚰
