I had a lovely run just now with Mo Farrah on the NRC. The weather is lovely and Mr Mo was a great listen ๐ง. I pushed past the 30 minutes and got my 5k PB at 31m 59s. This wasnโt intentional and probably explains why Iโm feeling so pooped ๐. But Iโll take it. Anyway, thoroughly recommend this run. Happy running all ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ.
I went with Mo!: I had a lovely run just now... - Bridge to 10K
I went with Mo!
Thats good to hear, I have it saved so will do this one next time, I imagine mo subconsciously influenced your pb! Well done!
Strange, I have once downloaded the NRC app, but I only had access to like 7 different runs or so, nothing more. I see a load more popping up here. Maybe those runs aren't compatible with my phone, just like I could not download the C25K app you all use. Either way, I did use 1 of the runs I could see of NRC, but it's nothing for me. It distracts me from my run and I don't listen to everything, because of which I can't follow their conversations half of the time and it ends up being just annoying in my ears, haha. So I'm keeping to the natural noises of birds and traffic. But it apparently does work well for you, getting a PB! Congrats!
Thank you Evy. The first time I used the NRC I wasnโt sure about it, but Iโve come to really enjoy it. I really wish I could run to the sound of nature, but I need to be distracted! An unfortunate sign of modern life. Also all Iโd be able to hear would be my heavy breathing and clomping feet. I think people can probably hear me coming from a mile away ๐คฃ. All the best!
Well to be honest, when I am running on the gravel path in my little park, I actually like the sound of my feet hitting the patch. If I can keep my cadence even, it is kinda meditative the repetitive sound, I have once or twice been in a slight running-trance that way. I'm weird, I know, haha!
Natureโs noise is preferable to the trafficโs roar but keeping your ears cocked is always a good idea. We can amuse ourselves canโt we ๐
I like music and Nike coached runs but am happy to run without
Nowadays I also prefer to hear what is around me. Whether anyone is running up to me or so. Few weeks ago there was a sexual delinquent signaled in my neighbourhood who harasses women. So I prefer being aware of my surroundings.
Sounds like a great run today. Congrats on a new PB!! ๐
Great arenโt they ๐. I did one yesterday that kept me absorbed for an hour ๐
Hey FrencI love the NRC guided runs....haven't done that one with Mo, but will definitely take your recommendation & try it soon.
Well done on your PB - that's a fantastic time! ๐๐๐
Iโve done that one, itโs very enjoyable ๐
Congratulations on your 5k PB Frenc ๐ฅณ๐ฅณ
Ta ๐๐. Off out on the tricky trail today. Lots of ups and downs ๐ค.
I enjoyed this one too ๐ Just a heads up in case you are tempted. I didnโt enjoy the run with Eliud. He was so softly spoken with a really strong accent that I struggled to understand what he was saying. Coach Bennett tried to repeat what he was saying but I got really frustrated. I was really looking forward to it too so was very disappointed โน๏ธ
