I canβt believe it has been 13 days since my last run ππ»ββοΈ ππ»ββοΈπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎdecided today I must get back out there. Omg it was SO Hot!!! βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈbut felt so amazing to be back out there running. Went along the River and headed to SW3 and said hello to the beautiful elephant sculptures ππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππ they are so amazing Must say it did feel harder running in the heat, I wasnβt sure if I was going to run 6k but settled on 5k as it was 20 degrees. I finished at 28:13 so slower than previous runs, splits were 6:11, 5:35, 5:20, 5:33 and 5:21. So I really want to work my way back up to running 10k again, so need to focus on running slower. The plan is to run 3 times a week again and run a few early morning runs which I really enjoy. I am thinking about doing Ju Juβs magic plan again to work back up to 10k.
Thank you for your wishes. Great to hear you braved the heat for your cracking run today, may have been slightly slower than you possibly wanted but in this heat - well done. Love the elephants, shame they couldnβt have showered you in lovely cool water as you ran past. Happy running π€
Oh, well done for your 5K in the heat! Slow for you, but if I managed a sub 30 minute 5K I would be so shocked I would never get over it! Good idea to start working up to 10K again! Following a plan works so well for you πππππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπ
Congratulations Rebecca on completing that 5K in the heat, try and run as early as possible to avoid the heat, even at 6.30am the temperature is to be above 16C/60F with high humidity but as the sun at that time is low in the sky you should not boil while running, I also congratulate all four new ambassadors to the forum.
Great to see you out there again Rebecca !You call that slow ! Are you for real π€£
Wish I was that slow then haha.
Wow luv those sculptures , they are amazing .
I'm sure you will soon be back to 10K whether you do the plan again or not you will get there , I really enjoyed my 05:59 am run this morning π¬πββοΈ
Lol I wish I was young Sola! Been so busy I canβt believe how quickly the time has passed. Hope all is well with you and Willow happy running lovely x
Well done Rebecca, Good to see you running again and enjoying yourself π₯°
It was very muggy here in South Wales, canβt imagine what London felt like this morning. Sounds like a good ideaβ¦a slow and steady build up to reach 10k πππ’ππ»ββοΈ
Aww thank you lovely π₯° it was so hot so beautiful though so nice to be back out there. Looking forward to next run. Enjoy your next run and take care x
