Hello Everyone and happy Christmas Day. Today is parkrun day in some places, It is for everyone, slow, fast, able, disabled, big, small and everyone in between. Oh and don't forget about the super Mum's and Dad's who push their babies in buggies. You can walk, jog, run, run/walk, it's not a race, just a run in the park and loads of us here on Bridge to 10K do it religiously every Saturday morning.
Some of us may not be able to do a parkrun at the moment so until parkrun returns fully for everyone some of us will continue to take part on our own in a Virtual parkrun every Saturday morning called a (not)parkrun. Or if you are away on Holidays, prefer to run on your own, or do not have a parkrun close by you a (not)parkrun is perfect, please feel free to join in. Please post a little run report after your parkrun or (not)parkrun and let everyone know how you got on. The little run report can be done over a post parkrun coffee and treat/cake. (parkrun is all about the after run coffee and cake, and meeting friends old and new).
If you are a new graduate and would like to start, all you have to do is run, walk or jog at a parkrun or a 5K run/jog/walk (not)parkrun anytime today or tomorrow and write a little run report under this post. It's like a little community and it is good fun, sets you up nicely for the weekend. If you want to you can register on the parkrun website and you can log your 5K (not)parkrun. In fact you can log any 5K done during the week as a (not)parkrun.
For anyone whom has not done a real parkrun yet and if it is available to you, give it a try. It is the most wonderful community event. Saturday mornings will never be the same again.
Looking forward to hearing from all of you who ran in real proper parkruns and (not)parkruns. Happy running and have a lovely Christmas Day.

Happy Christmas everyone. This morning I will be volunteering at my local parkrun. I will be handing out the finish tokens. Have a wonderful parkrun today and wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas ๐ .
Happy Christmas Damien and I wish you speedy healing. It took 5 weeks for my post fall rib pain to disappearโฆ.but it does go eventually, even for an old bloke like me ๐๐
Ha Ha, yeah itโs taking longer to heal this time. But Iโm pushing closer to 50 ๐. I expect it to take about a month to recover fully. But Iโll get there. Happy Christmas.
Good morning Damien and a very happy Christmas to you, I hope you are recovering from your recent fall Of the 4 parkruns I attend only one is being held today, that's Drumpelliier Country parkrun, I am not running there, just as well as its another wet grey morning, however, I did manage to go a short walk at 9am with my neighbours dog Holly, I was wearing my red Santa hat, have a lovely Christmas Day. ๐ โ๏ธโ๏ธ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐๐ถ
.. and a very happy Christmas to you Doris8, yes I have had wonderful day today, at 9 this morning I took Holly the dog a walk, in the afternoon I was at my son in laws parents house for a great Christmas dinner, tomorrow I intend to run a short 3K just after the sun rises, I hope you had a great ๐ Christmas.
But strangely enjoyable, looking forward to our traditional Christmas Day post-parkrun second breakfast of scrambled egg and smoked salmon on ciabatta toast.
Happy Christmas damienair and Parkrunners, it was a bit wild on the coast this morning, wind in our faces but when we turned round it blew us home, I haven't got time yet but more running and faster than Saturday
Happy Christmas and thanks for all you do promoting parkrun all year! The timings didnโt work for me but I did run this morning. Half an hour of peace before family chaos descends!
Normally 80-100 people at my local parkrun. But this morning there was a good crowd of 192 runners, walkers and joggers. There was a lovely atmosphere. It was nice to volunteer.
Merry Christmas Damien and VRBs ๐ I was too lazy to get up for parkrun today but Mr S and I did go for a post brekkie/present opening walk round the village. Very grey, but dry and mild, so not complaining!
Very kind of you to do this on Christmas Day damienair . We went to parkrun and had a jolly time with penguins, reindeer, snowmen and santas. Happy Christmas everyone
I marshalled at my local parkrun's Christmas day run yesterday. Really enjoyed it, shouting happy Christmas and cheering them on. I'm doing the same New Year's Day. Now I volunteer, I'm getting to know more people there. I love it.
hi and Merry Christmas. Cycled to a nearby Parkrun, ours being closed. Wantstead Flats. As its name suggests the course is quite flat, but very muddy. Made it round without falling and in a PB for this course, the last time I ran it it was icy, so a result as such. Prosecco at the finish with mince pies, then the long cycle home, one ride too many as far as my derriรจre was concerned, but felt virtuous enough to enjoy Christmas Day eating without any guilt!!
My first Christmas Day parkrun. There was only one operating in the area and this was a new course to me. Loads of people there (over 450) and it was great fun. At the end there was a rainbow that came out over the park.
