Hi running friends:)

Yep..just like a bad penny...me again! Can't get rid of me:)

What a brilliant month October was.. with all of the runners doing the most amazing things... short runs, longer runs and really longer runs!

Nature's Autumn colours, certainty in this area have been incredible... a truly blazing background to many, many of my runs:)

I managed to keep up with my three times a week, runs , but did not get the longer runs in ! I shall try harder with this month's Quest which will be up soon I think :) On the positive side.. I have got speedier..( shhh ) :)

A few of us have had aches, pains and some nasty run stopping injuries... I really hope anyone on the IC makes a very rapid recovery, and if you have to be there a while longer.. take it from me..the runs do wait.

If you are on the IC, do head across to the Strength and Flex forum where there may be exercises ideas to keep you going.

So...

Well done if you met all your targets and well done too on all those you di manage, if not all.

I am really looking forward to running with you on the November Quest!

Stay healthy, stay safe, stay running and stay HAPPY.

Floss x

Hello Oldfloss, I’m very pleased with October as I ran my first 10 mile race (in perfect weather conditions). I’m pleased that the physio exercises for ITB kept me running injury free . Lots of VRB meets too. Roll on November 😀

Hi, my life now revolves around running. I am indeed a running bore. I only started on 8th August. How did this happen?

You became wonderfully addicted..what a great habit!!!

I wish I were more addicted now that the first snowflakes have flurried down here. It's cold, the furnace is running, and I'm due to go out to run, but it's so cozy INSIDE.... I have been doing my weight bearing exercises though (since I do them INSIDE :D ) I'm properly stoked with tea and breakfast; I WILL go out NOW! (...and hubby's snoring away safely on the couch till at least noon....)

I had my promised hilly month(which is continuing) including a star light head torch clamber up on the North York’s moors. Today I tested out one of my old flatter roots to see if the hills had helped. A new 10 mile Pb in 1:55:13, a near 4 minute improvement, was the answer. Hills definitely help!

Don’t think my October quest went terribly well, at least I didn’t really achieve what I wanted to, ie a comfortable 5k. But, hey ho, November is a new month and I’ll press on with it - I’ve got Parkruns to do so I can’t linger!

Another run.. another day of fun... well done you!

I got off the IC with a 5km 5.5km and 6km run. I so enjoyed running in the forest in the pouring rain, splashing along happily. So now to build back up to 10km.
