A 25 minute run πŸ˜ŠπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘

After my 70 minute 8K run on Sunday, I wanted a shorter run this morning. So, running somewhere different by the beautiful lake Rudyard. Originally, I was going to do a slow, Zone 2 run, but once I set off, the air quality was so good I couldn’t help but run a little faster!

The ground was a little wet with a few puddles. The trail is mud & compacted stones, but I had brought my trail shoes with me in anticipation of this run. I really want to run all round the lake, but my companion suggested a walk round the west side first as it’s more challenging and I conceded that he’s right, so I’m not sure if I’ll be running all the way round on this trip. Maybe a walk on the west side on Thursday afternoon.

It’s cooler up here, too - 11 degrees (feels like 10) so I felt much more comfortable on this run. A few spots of rain at the start did not dampen my enthusiasm! It wasn’t particularly early but not many people about.

I covered 3K on this run, which I was pleased with for my current level of fitness. I often try to speed up for the last km, which I did today - 7:35. I stopped at 3K, a few seconds short of 25 minutes. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈβ˜•οΈ

There's always a reason to run a little faster isn't there Jools? Sounds lovely

Yes, I was hoping for a coffee afterwards! But the cafΓ© was still closed so had to wait until we got back.

That was a fantastic 3K run for you this morning Jools2020, well done, 7.35 for the last kilometer, you should be very pleased with yourself, one of my favourite distances is 3K, I tend to do that on a Saturday when I am not at parkrun or on a Friday if I am the tailwalker at parkrun the following day, that's a volunteering duty that I have just started recently.

Thanks, Al. It’s one of my favourite distances, too!

Well done for your work as tailwalker at park run, I read somewhere that it’s the most coveted volunteer role. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ‘

🍏Great run Jools ..love the photo story too..although could picture it all from your wonderful descriptions! 3K runs are so easy to fit in to a tight morning schedule but mine take a little longer🀣

Thanks! Mine usually take longer, too, but the lakeside track was flat and the air quality excellent!
