A lovely Sunday run

I had such an enjoyable run this morning, just over 8k to a local nature reserve and back. It’s the longest I’ve run in a couple of weeks as I wanted to rein it in a bit, but it felt brilliant. I could see for miles when I got there, and turning round to come back, the view was stunning. There was no one else around apart from some cows, little nesting birds, and a lovely breeze. It was the 2nd outing for my new Garmin 45, which is taking some getting used to, but I’ll get there! It feels so much more comfortable to wear than my old Fitbit, so thank you to everyone who recommended it. I hope everyone is making the most of this lovely weather, aren’t we lucky! 🏃‍♀️😊🏃‍♀️😊🏃‍♀️

It was very enjoyable, thank you 😊. The watch gives you so much info doesn’t it! I think I’ve only scratched the surface so far.

You have inspired me Frenc - it sounds so delicious. At the moment I always do the same route and mostly keep my eye out for trip hazards. I’m going to tuck your post away for a slightly more confident me. Thanks so much

Oh bless you Mittymoo! I hadn’t run this route in its entirety before, but I needed a change of scene. I know what you mean about tripping, I find now the weather’s better it can be difficult with all the light and shade, so I keep my eyes glued to the ground for the most part. All the best 😊.

Thank you damienair, it was lovely! Happy running to you too. 👍

That sounds just like my kind of a run Frenc. I love my Garmin 45s. I treated myself during consolidation last year and thought I would just use it for running, but wear it all the time. There's certainly plenty features to learn about but you'll soon get used to it. I googled for some of the Garmin 45 tutorials on YouTube and found them really useful.

Happy running 😊

Thank you! Yes, I definitely need to sit down and suss some of the features out 😊. Great idea to treat yourself during consolidation - nice one! 😄

Sounds like a fab place to run. Found my Garmin a revelation after my Fitbit; can see the screen for a start!

Great running out there 🌸😀🌸

Ah thank you! It was a lovely run. Yes, seeing the screen always helps! Quite a few times I’ve nearly run into someone or something squinting at it. 😆

Nice enjoyable run by the sounds of it Frenc, I find I look up and take in my surroundings more these days, which makes such a difference, especially when there are views as nice as the ones you saw on that run.

Thank you, yes, I really enjoyed it 😊. I’m trying to persuade my brother to do it with me, we’ll see! He hates hills 😆.
