I simply can’t believe I’ve run 10km. Up until I started C25K in February I’d said I can’t run: my knees don’t like it, my heart rates gets too high ...... Well, what a fantastic plan and add on Ju Ju’s Magic Plan and I’ve done it. I have been a bit naughty and missed out the 9km runs but the route fitted 10km well and I felt ok and had done all the rest of the training in full. Time for a rest! So much support on here, too! It’s the only social media group I’ve come across that seems to only have helpful comments. xx

Reset up well now and bask in the glow!☺️
🎖 fantastic! Well done! See, running just keeps on giving these wonderful achievements. Just a little bit of effort and Wow, we can really do so much more than we thought! Congratulations 👍🏻😁
Well done! That's an amazing first 10km time.
I did my own PB 10km time on Monday on the flat, and that was also 63 minutes. You did that on the first attempt.
You’re right. My previous 8km wasn’t very good so it was so good to achieve this today.
Congratulations! 🍾🥂🏅🏃♀️🤸♂️🏃♀️🤸♂️🏃♀️🤸♂️👏🏻👍🌟 💥⚡️🎉😊🎓 Enjoy the glow! I still remember my first 10k with a big smile. 😊
What did you do afterwards? Did you keep doing that distance once a week or extend it?
Hello again Chesterlove, I imagine that you could ask 100 runners about what came next after their first 10km and receive 100 different answers! Partly depends on any future running aims and plans, also on time constraints and in my case also on injuries. I'm in Derbyshire and it is hilly. My time seems over committed, so I went for one 1 hour run a week and two 30 minute runs for a while. Then I increased my distance followed by a hamstring injury for no reason that I know at all. Recovery, increased distance. Struggling to quite remember the order, at one stage lost the joy and stopped, then really wanted to run in our Carnival 'Fun' run/race, regained a keeness. Then stopped because gardening tasks were overwhelming, then realised that I want that stamina back and built up again, reached W9R2 of C25k and then had a very bad knee injury due to a fall from a wall while gardening(August last year). I'm now building up again. My distance PB remains at 13km, I'd like to reach 10 miles (16.1km). I did run a couple of Parkruns which were a real experience.I wonder where you want to take your running. Have you looked at the forum

No shortage of ideas to inspire you. Happy injury free running whatever direction your running journey takes. I particularly like the sight seeing aspect of new routes and really appreciate the fitness and stamina running gives me. Have fun. 😊🏃♀️
Congratulations 👏👏👏. what a cracking pace!😀
Oh well done! I did my first 10k several weeks ago, relaxed several weeks into 5ks to 7ks and am now working up on a different more difficult route up to 10k again. Enjoy that feeling. (And get that 10k badge by going to the pinned post ( healthunlocked.com/bridgeto... )

That's amazing Chesterlove , couch to 10k since Feb, Wow! 😃 What a brilliant run too, and sounds like you enjoyed it. This running lark is so exciting, can't wait to feel just a little more confident as I get further through C25K. Enjoy your well earned rest and hopefully all the kudos you get 😃👍🏼

That’s fabulous! I’ve only ever done one 10k and that took me an hour and a half. I’m trying to build back up to it at the moment. Won’t ever get that fast though!
