I set out too fast, and possibly as a result of that, the run ended up more eventful than intended. I managed to miss a turn near half way (much to the amusement of my wife – the same thing happens when we go out walking), and tried to change podcast while running – I got NHS strength and conditioning rather than Laura’s stamina run. As a result, middle of the run was a bit of a disaster, but I managed sort myself out, get back on the correct route, and finished with the right podcast. Next time, I need to pace myself better!
It really is a magic plan - 10km done - Bridge to 10K

An amazing 10k run, just think how fast it would have been if you’d gone where your nose pointed and run naked (no technology) 🤣 well done. Happy running 🤗
Thanks Grannyhugs, I do need to try running naked. I think I have come to rely on the music & talking in my ear to keep me going. At some point I need to prove to myself that I don't really need it. It's quite a daunting thought though. I think my legs might work without it, but what about my mind - will it be able to cope for a whole hour without tech?😂
That's amazing, look at that pace! Woohoo 💥🏃🏃🏃
Thankyou Beatlesforever
Wow! Congratulations! 👏👏👏And 13 Strava Achievements!!
Thanks Birdlady64. It was my 2nd or 3rd fastest time for many of the short distances up to 2 miles (I really did start off too quickly) plus PR for 10k. All the rest were segments along the route that others have set up - it is a popular route round a lake and through a park.
Congratulations Charlies1. My longer runs often go a bit pear-shaped in the middle. I think its the muddy tracks and soggy feet 😂
Thanks Lifluf, I dont even have that excuse! It was on tarred paths & all quite level. If you are running 10km on muddy tracks, that will be much harder.
