after graduating from C25K last July, some of you on here know I have been chasing the sub 30 for my 5Km and atlast I have done it, ok so its still close to 30mins but hey at 29.55 its a sub 30 as far as Im concerned!!! Did that yesterday and then today I beat my PB for a 8km at 49:47, so Im really chuffed this weekend.
Thank you all on here for encouraging me and telling me that it would happen, and of course my biggest thanks has to go to to Coach Bennett!! ππππββοΈπββοΈππ

Today I did it in 29:19!! bit of a fluke I reckon but was listening to a new playlist and maybe the music helped me run faster!! It's taken months, but finally running every other day really is now paying off for my strength and stamina. Just need the proper park run now!!πππββοΈπββοΈ
I'm good thanks - but one thing or another has prevented me from completing a 10k! I've relapsed a bit due to craziness at work, but am determined to achieve it before my Runniversary & birthday at the beginning of July!
Know what you mean, I did it again as I was worried incase it was a one off, but tonight I did 29:19, well pleased now!!!π€£π€£πββοΈπββοΈ
Strange thing, I did the Speed NHS podcast , not ran with that since last year when I was building upto a 10km, but it showed me I can push it. I think because I run on my own, I don't always push myself as much as maybe I could. It was the same route, and I made sure I was hydrated and didn't have too many layers given the weather. Problem is, it's addictive, I want to run every day but I don't have the time to and I realise I'm still a newish runner ( well, it's a year now) so not sure when you actually become a ' runner' as such!I do run every other day and walk my two dogs three times a day, so maintaining my fitness pretty well. Just excited for Park Runs now, not done one yet!! πππββοΈ
