Happy Boxing Day Everyone π
Today I did my long run... the one where I get my husband to drop me off in the car (somewhere) and I run back home π
Husband : So, where do you wanna go today, babe?
Me : Oh, I don't know? Just drive about 6 miles out π
Husband : OK π
So, he drove and he drove and he drove! π³
Husband : Is here OK? π€
Me : Er, yeah? π
Wearing my new running watch, new running top and a cheery smile, we kissed goodbye and he drove back towards home and the open fire π₯
I pressed GO on my watch and jogged it back home through the fog and drizzle. There was something quite special about the atmosphere. Not being able to see more than a few feet in front of me was advantageous, as I couldn't see how steep or how long the road was! π
I thoroughly enjoyed that run! When I got home my new watch told me I'd run just over 10 miles (16k) and my husband told me he was making lunch and my son was running me a bath π
So I'm feeling grateful for being fit and healthy and grateful for having a loving and supportive husband and son β€οΈ
Enjoy your runs wherever you are and whatever stage of your journey you are at! β€οΈ
