I did a 45 minute NRC "Thank You" run this morning. I'm not trying to run fast or run far, I'm happy just being able to run but I do check to see what I've done when I finish. Todays 45 minute run was slightly slower than last Sunday's 45 and I covered 6.58k against last weeks 6.7k. but most of all I enjoyed it.
I set off at 6am when the world is quiet traffic is minimal and dog walkers are few and far between. I love the quiet stillness and have done all my runs early because of this. I do a 5.25 mile walk every morning and incorporate my runs into this so when I finish my run I still have to walk home (about 15 minutes now) which again is a nice peaceful head-clearing "me-time"
Well done Chrimson51, early morning runs are definitely the best, so much more peaceful, the streets are yours and I find the air quality so much better. I enjoyed the NRC Thank You run I find those types of runs pose thought provoking questions, which make it so much more enjoyable.
