Sunday 5k

Good morning runners, headed out for an early morning 5k today, took an extra rest day yesterday as legs were a bit tired after Wednesdays PB 10k! I hadn't realised until I checked today but I'd managed to take over 2 minutes of my previous PB on that run 😱😁.

A fast 5k attempt I decided upon today, after warm up walk and stretches. Got off to an absolute flyer with an under 5min 1st KM and pretty much dead on 5min for the 2nd, after that my tired legs kicked in and I slowed a fair bit with each new KM. Did however get a new PB over 2 miles, a second quickest 1 mile and an overall 3rd fastest over the full 5km.

Pleased overall 😁 and confident il get under 25mins in the not to distant future 💪🏻

Nice one, you seem to be getting back into it now, and the speed is picking up, with the weather warming up now, i might need to try an early morning 🏃‍♂️ as in the evening, it's still pretty hot!! 🌞
