Done!!!

⏰⏰⏰⏰Alarm clock went off at 4:50am, nothing happened! Then at 5am......Thought about it, mmm little voice said it’s nice and warm in bed could stay here for another hour if you wanted, but this is week 6, Run 1 BecsπŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ , so up I jumped from bed got dressed, shorts (yes I know!), long sleeved top and my trusted nurse blue running jacket. Located my keys........what’s that.....Does my little baby bear cub key ring look like he doesn’t want to come out running this morning !!! 🧸🧸🧸🧸🧸🧸🧸🧸🧸🧸🧸🧸

Was out the door for 5:18 am hood up, β€œlet’s do this”! Headed up to Clapham Common, first C25K I was a Battersea girl and went to Battersea Park but funnily enough this time round I always head up to the common. Started of at a nice pace and just really enjoyed this run, it felt so comfortable and steady. Loving how quiet it is out on the pavements at this time and just being able to sing very badly and loudly, not caring, very liberating!! Lots of Take That songs this morning and fond memories of fun times at their last concert at the O2 in May 2019.

Right I need to go to work now!! I wish you all a lovely day filled with lots of miles of happiness and sparkle πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„

Happy Running xxx

Well done on another early bird sunrise run Rebecca πŸ‘, that's definitely energized me to get up and out as soon as the weetabix has fuelled the system and I'm able to steer my legs πŸ€“

Thank you Ian,Glad I energised you to get out there this morning. Hope you enjoyed your run

in reply to 9weeks2Run

Yep that you did πŸ‘, minimal faffage slightly less than the standard 2 hours and I was out πŸ€“

Ha ha improvement!!Early morning running knowing have to go to work really makes me speed up!

nowster profile image
nowsterGraduate10

I got all prepared to go out this morning at about 8.30am, then toilet anxiety kicked in and other general faffing about, and eventually I realised I hadn't enough time left to do the run I wanted to before I had to be available for work.

Hopefully the delivery of stuff from Decathlon this lunchtime will be early enough to let me do it without having the worry of being back in time for this afternoon's main meeting.

Hi Nowster,

Oh that is so annoying isn’t it I used to do that all the time when I was running 10k would take me hours to get out of the house.

Hope you managed to get out for a run in the afternoon.

nowster profile image
nowsterGraduate10 in reply to 9weeks2Run

Yes, I did get out at lunchtime, thanks. It was a bit of hard work towards the end but quite rewarding.

I'm hoping to get out for an easy 3km run tomorrow morning. Not as early as you, though!

That is brilliant, Well Done.

Do you not leave rest days in between your runs? Enjoy your run, lol I know it seems crazy but you feel so well for the rest of the day it is incredible

nowster profile image
nowsterGraduate10 in reply to 9weeks2Run

Yes, I agree about that amazing supercharged feeling continuing through the day.

My current plan has me running four days a week with three rest days. I have done a couple of "Run Every Day" weeks, of mostly shorter runs, and have loved doing them. I've my eyes on the half marathon distance in about four weeks from now, so no RED for a bit.

9weeks2Run profile image
9weeks2RunGraduate10 in reply to nowster

Yes it really is such a great feeling has really helped me with the fatigue.

Oh wow that is absolutely fantastic that you are planning a HM, you have made such good progress. Good luck with the rest of your training. The RED shorter runs sounds brilliant does that improve strength? I remember Hidden doing RED January that was so amazing and inspiring especially in all that awful weather.

My next run is tomorrow. Happy Running

nowster profile image
nowsterGraduate10 in reply to 9weeks2Run

I don't know whether running every day improves strength. I do know that my running fitness has been noticeably improving the last couple of months. I suspect that is more likely to be the combination of everything I've been doing recently rather than the two short bursts of RED.

Wonderfully joyful post!! I’m terrible at early morning runs - I am jealous of everyone here who can be that organised. I like my doggie walk in the mornings then run in the evenings.

Have an amazing day Rebecca. You are leading the way for me today!!!

9weeks2Run profile image
9weeks2RunGraduate10 in reply to VPOLLIE67

Aww thank you VPOLLI67,

lol I think the fact of not being able to run during January and February has made it a lot easier to get out early now! I couldn’t manage to run after work, too tired. It is great that you do walking and running, great step count. Aww must be so lovely to have a 🐢 🐢🐢 you are blessed. Take care and enjoy your evening run

So happy to know that you enjoyed that 'Take That' Gig at The O2 in 2019, not sure when big pop concerts will resume.

That was a very good run for you this early morning Rebecca, it's still quite dark at that time of day, with the clocks going forward two weeks ago your lose a hour of daylight in the early morning, I don't like the idea of you running in the dark, nevertheless you enjoyed the run, that is the main thing, well done πŸ˜€ πŸƒπŸΎ.

9weeks2RunGraduate10 in reply to AlMorr

Hi Al,Oh yes I couldn’t imagine feeling comfortable going to a concert for a very long time. Sad really. Me and some friends have tickets booked to go and see Pretty Woman, booked for 30th June not sure that will go ahead. Had tickets for Wimbledon last year as well typical!

I am fine thank you Al it is well lit on the street and lots of cars and buses on the road and to be honest I look pretty scary at 5am in the morning!!!

Enjoy your next run

AlMorr profile image
AlMorrAmbassadorGraduate10 in reply to 9weeks2Run

Thanks Rebecca, my next run will be my 43rd (not) parkrun, I have ran all but one of them, the walk one was a few weeks ago when I had that sore leg, it's OK now.

Have a look at the Website, I notice it reopens in July with social distancing seating, but you should get a refund if it is cancelled.

Thank you ask, that is good to know. We won’t cancel the tickets will just keep rebooking them awful what this has done to the theatreland and the actors want to support them

I go, or least I used to go to concerts of students studying classical music, of course I have not been to any concerts for now over a year, but I hope they will resume sometime later this year.

Yes I feel OK there is lots of traffic, I stay the other side of the road which is well lit. I don’t run around the common at that time. lol anyway I look pretty scary at 5am in the morning!!

Yes I really am, I would not have the energy to run after work, they do give me energy to get through the shift.

I hope your run went well? Sorry catching up with posts.

I can’t wait for that.

Hope you had a good day

Have a lovely evening xxx

You still need that rest and relaxation time, I curled up and fell asleep this afternoon, we are on a bit of a diet, we’ve never dieted before πŸ˜‚ but it’s going well and definitely eating less, we are a happy couple, the run this morning wasn’t going that great when a little yapping dog ran and jumped at me so i told the owner off a bit and I think she shouted back a bit but had loud music in my ears so not sure, i’d slowed to a walk when i realised the dog was making for me and after that i walked home and Willow drove home and made the tea so by the time i got home i’d walked my cross ness off, i’m working this weekend which i love because it means the boss isn’t there giving me so many extra jobs to do that i get behind with my work and i get to spend time with the people who live there Hope your weekend working goes smoothly xx
