A Comfortable Sunny Easter 5K πŸŒžπŸƒ

So it was a beautiful morning , sunny and about 9 or 10 degrees with hardly any wind .

Perfect for an Easter Sunday morning run πŸŒžπŸƒ

Shorts were perfect along with a long sleeve running top .

My hip had been feeling fine so I was a little more relaxed about doing this run .

I still decided not to push the distance though .

This felt good from the word go !

And for the first time in ages I set off at comfortable pace that I felt I could maintain .

Because my hip felt fine I was able to enjoy this run more than some of my recent ones ,

It was so nice just to enjoy the sun and the surrounding scenary and listen to my music ( Pink Floyd).

It's typical but I have an appointment with my physio a week on Tuesday (13th) .

I think I will see how it goes between now and then before i decide if to keep it or not !

But today actually felt effortless , and not even a twinge ! it's been quite along time since I have been able to say that .

So, a nice run ,

And the first time in a while where I have finished on a significantly faster split 😁

The horse in the picture is in a field near my house , exactly where my 5K ends 😁

So, back home, stretches done and kit in the wash , a quick shower and cup of tea then off to see an old friend for coffee and cake in the garden ,

Last time a saw him and his wife was new year's Eve 2019 !!!

We have a lot of catching up to do 😁

Happy Easter and Happy running folks πŸ˜πŸ‘

That's fantastic Ian! Great about the hip and that obviously meant you could just relax and enjoy your run. It sounds wonderful 😁I didn't dare chance it today so making for with a short stroll through the woods just to keep things moving.

Enjoy the rest of your Easter weekend. How lovely to catch up with friends after all this time 😁

Sounded a nice run, and great news about that hip, i'm sure the shorter runs, and rest have helped, it's feels good to be back out, and not really feel any niggles, you must have had alot to catch up on, with your friends!

That looks like a nice place to run. And the weather was lovely wasn't it. I went for a comfortable 5k too - slipped down the private/beware of shooting section but no sign of the gamekeeper. Haha, this morning, as I read your post, there's a small snow storm outside!

We have a beautiful sunny day but a freezing cold north wind. Not great for outdoor gatherings - the firepit would have to get stacked up like for Guy Fawkes... πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

Yes, nice and sunny here now but still very cold !

Sounds like a great run. It is always so pleasant when everything falls just right in a run eh? Hope the cake and coffee tasted good and that you enjoyed the company!
