I had already decided I would run this weekend, just didn't know which day !
Looking at the forecast on Friday evening made me decide I'd go on Sunday .
I fully intended to go early , well, around 7:30 but unfortunately I got up around 6:30, made a cup of tea and took it back to bed π
Up again at 8:30 and porridge for breakfast!
I started to look around on the forum and noticed I had a reply from Speedy60 in which she mentioned the interview with Eddie Izzard on runpod from last Christmas .
So I decided to download it to Spotify and listen to it on my run .
What a brilliant interview !
I would highly recommend it for those who may not have heard it, very inspiring!
I was out of the door at 09:50 as I needed to get past the memorial in the village before the 11 am 2 minutes silence !
I set the podcast going and started my watch and run at 10:00
It felt a nice relaxed and steady start as I listened to the interview and I soon found myself so emerged into the chat that I completely forgot about pace or distance.
I just plodded along happily listening and pretty much forgetting everything else apart from being aware that it was a lovely bright sunny morning and actually quite warm in the sun !
My 5k just passed me by without much thought !
A quick walk home brought me to the end of the podcast !
Stretches done and a big mug of tea !
Thank you Speedy60 , that was a great listen ππ
Happy running all !

That photo is just perfect, and it sounds as though you had the perfect run too! Can you send some of that sun this way please? π€£. I like the sound of that interview, too, Eddie Izzard is great.
Lovely day where you are for running in, . Well done on your run. I listen to Spotify and there is quite a lot of Eddie izzards podcasts U donβt know itβs name to look for ?
I'm so glad you found it as inspirational I did Instructor57! And it's lovely to be able to give something back for all the encouragement everyone has given me with my own little crisis.
You'll be pleased to know I've just come back from a 4k pootle round my local streets. I decided enough was enough! π
Thanks again. This really is a lovely little corner of the internet. π
Looks lovely! I am a huge fan of podcasts while running, I didnβt used to understand when my husband did it but so much better than music for managing pace!
Many thanks! And it was a good listen whilst running π
Well done on another 5K, seems like you're climbing back up the running ladder. Just make sure not to end up on the IC again, but I think you're being sensible, so that should be ok. Lovely picture by the way, the scenery must make you enjoy the run.
Gorgeous weather for a run, very well done on that 5k! πππI think I'll check out that interview, I certainly could do with a bit of inspiration!
