Sorry I have been a bit quiet this week have felt very fatigued so lots of early nights for me.
I have completed week two of C25K . All went well and no chest tightness when running, however, allergies have been really bad this week which has made my chest feel tight. Flowers and scented candles have really aggravated it.
I am really looking forward to week three and stepping it up to three minutes of running.
Well done, Rebecca, youβve got this! Fantastic that you have completed Week 2 and great that youβre running without chest tightness. What a shame about your allergies. Good luck with Week 3! πππππββοΈ
Very well thank you π iβve had my second vaccine and no real side effects, feeling fine Iβm so pleased You keep well and keep running, but rest when you need x
Hi Sola. That is amazing news. It must feel incredible to have had both vaccines. So glad you have not experienced any real side effects. Thank you so much. I will do. Take care xxx
Well done Rebecca, your getting there slowly, even with the alergies playing up a bit. Are you an evening, post work runner, if so, the lighter evenings will help, i'm sure. π
Thank you so much Peter. I hope you are well and your hip/groin is feeling better?
Not at the moment, I tend to go out late morning. I am completely shattered by 6pm but hopefully that will change. I have been really focusing on doing my steps everyday, really enjoying that.
Taking me a bit of time getting used to evening, post work runs, as was of work 3 months, last lot of furlough, but you had the covid to contend with too, so well done. πβΊπββοΈ
Listen to your son start watching it on bbc iPlayer all seasons are there so think! You have to start from the beginning or you will have spoilers! π
Well done Rebecca on completing week 2. You are working your way back up there. ππͺπ How fantastic that you are getting no chest tightness from your running. Allergies are a different thing altogether though.Tree pollen is a big trigger for me but I think we're not quite there yet. The trees are still not quite breaking bud but the wood anemones are starting to flower.
What a pity about the Job Malone candles as they are so lovely
Hi Jane,Hope you are keeping well and you are enjoying your job. Thank you so much, for the big hugs, greatly appreciated and sending hugs back to you.
Yes it is going to take time. I do feel I am getting stronger and am delighted to be increasing my shifts to 3 earlys from next week so all good.
Well done Rebecca, youβre doing so well, and having no chest tightness is great to hear, that must be a big relief. Iβve been taking antihistamine this week too as Iβve had the sneezes. Week 3 here you come xπͺπ»ππββοΈ
Hi Geoff, yes it really is such a relief. C25K really is so amazing. Oh bless you π€§!!! Hope you enjoy your next run. Take care x ππ»π»π»πΎπΎπΎπππ§π»βππ±ππ»ββοΈ
Itβs great having an aim and pattern to running isnβt it. Every week youβll surprise yourself how much more you can do. Iβve just completed week 7 and feel itβs making a real difference!
Great news about completing W2 with no ill effects Onwards and upwards to W3. π€the anti histamines will sort out the hay fever for you πππhappy running πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Many thanks Ian. Yes that is so true! Today at work I was laughing with a patient and it actually felt like the old days felt so lovely and felt more like me.
Hope you are keeping well. Have you had your vaccine yet?
That's brilliant, they do say I believe laughter is a cure in itself π...... That vaccine in Wales errrr nope nothing as yet π§, the waiting continues........
Thank you!! In my head I could run 10k again but sadly my body canβt! Am grateful to be able to be back out there though been so lucky.Happy running to you
Well done you π I am at exactly the same point as you. Week 2 completed ( again ππ)
I have found it very hard mentally to go back to the beginning....but armed with my trusty inhaler....I am trying to get into the mindset....you did it before and you will do it again.
No. I don't have long covid. I am sorry to hear you are battlling that. .you are a proven winner. So well done for your determination π π πͺ I am a severe asthma sufferer. And have recently come out of hospital. So I too am determined to conquer and win.
I am so sorry to hear that, how awful. How amazing that you are back running. That is absolutely incredible. Must be so awful and frightening having severe asthma, you are such an inspiration snd will do this. I love your strength and determination.
