I Completed second run of week 3 this afternoon and it felt good! No chest tightness and I felt stronger. I actually felt like I could have continued running for longer than the 3 minutes.
I canβt wait to start week 4. Just one more run left of week 3.
Hope you have all had a lovely day
Happy running x

Iβm two runs into wk 4 and actually starting to enjoy myself. Caught myself anticipating my evening run this morning. Who is this person thatβs taken over my brain??? Great job to you, and hereβs some optimism to keep going.
Yaay congratulations Sweigum that is fantastic, Well Done you. Lol it really is such a joy to run. I had built up to running 10k at the end of last year and absolutely loved it. Following having Covid at the start of January and long Covid symptoms was unable to run (kept getting chest tightness) so I decided to redo C25K as I know it works and I really am enjoying it so much. I Will be so delighted if I can get back to running 5k again.
That's great news Rebecca, and still the chest behaving itself, it's so nice, and feels like we're running with you, brings back those happy memories, of getting through c25k, and how good it felt, i'm actualy looking forward to our old friend w5r3! β€
Aw thank you so much Peter that is so lovely of you and am so delighted with all the support it means so much. Oh yes Week 5, run 3 π¬ππ¬π I remember first time round feeling there is no way I will be able to run for 20 minutes with no walking in between. Gosh I really am just a few weeks away from that goal now, will be such an achievement to be able to do that. I feel really motivated to get to that!
I hope you are having a lovely week and your hip is continuing to improve.
It really was, so much going on, it is brilliant. lol I plan to do the same as well as was very tired. Think I will watch it on iplayer as find it hard to concentrate at that time!!
I am having a nice week thanks. I too need to watch LoD on a Monday night on iPlayer.. I just canβt keep awake for 10pm!
I managed to only just for first episode but my eyes kept closing! I donβt like watching things if they are a struggle to keep awake, takes the enjoyment out of it.
Oh I know I am the same most evenings, it is dreadful!
Thank you so much if I can I am planning to go for a run before I go to work tomorrow, although will have to see how I feel when I get up tomorrow. Felt so tired today took me ages to get going but went out for a walk to do my steps late afternoon and felt so much better for it.
That is absolutely brilliant! So very happy to hear this ππππ sounds like your body is ready to tackle those longer runs, fantastic! π·ππββοΈ
That's fantastic Rebecca. I'm really pleased for you. You're going from strength to strength now and you're showing such determination. A lesson for us all. Well done!
Aww many thanks Birdlady, that is so lovely of you. I must say I am so delighted with how it is going. I am thinking of possibly going for my first run before work tomorrow morning so I can complete week 3 and start week 4 on Saturday, otherwise because of my rota will mean I canβt start week 4 till next week. Will see how I feel tomorrow morning!Thank you for all your support x
Hi Rebecca, it's great that you are progressing so well through this , π¬πI'm having a 2nd rest day today as my hip was aching after Mondays run π
Good morning Ian,Sorry to hear your hip is playing up, that is sensible that you are having a 2nd rest day.
Many thanks, I must say I am thrilled how it is going. Hoping week 4 will go well.
Was such a lovely day yesterday and beautiful in the park, went along the route I used to run when I first did C25K brought back lovely memories. I keep meaning to tell you every time I put my trainers on I smile at the runners loop it always makes me think of you and your great advice, made such a difference!!
Many thanks Julie, feel like I am starting to make some progress now and really looking forward to be able to run 5k again. It is amazing how quickly the weeks are passing. Completing Week 4 will be a massive achievement for me.
I hope you are well, how is the training going for the Vitality 10k? Thank you for all your support. How is hubby getting on?
Well done Rebecca, itβs great to see your posts and read that your getting stronger every time, youβre doing so well. No chest tightness and you felt you could go on longer, that definitely means your on the mend and getting back to your old self ππ»ππ»πββοΈx
Many thanks Geoff, yes it is so promising. I felt incredibly fatigued again today which is so frustrating as felt so good yesterday, but I went for a lovely walk late afternoon around Battersea Park and felt so much better for it. I find the walking really helps me.
Hope you have had a lovely day. Take care and happy next run x
Aw I remember you doing early morning runs, I am going to try and do a run tomorrow before work as too tired after work really want to be able to start week 4 this week x
Iβve really got out of the habit of early morning runs lately, but I must get back into them, as I run a lot better early mornings and they set me up for the day. Like you, when I get in from work Iβm too tired lately. I still wonder where I found the energy from for that HM run I did.
Weβll make a pact....Iβll definitely go out for a run in the morning if you do π€πββοΈπββοΈ x
