So what if I wore the wrong clothes? and my neck was freezing and body too hot?
So what if the headphones in my headband don’t sit nicely by my ears?
So what if I got stitch in the first half kilometre?
So what if it was a rubbish day at work and I got home tired and cranky?
So what that I forgot my buff and the air feels like ice?
And why would I expect my phone to run c25k, amazon music and zombies run all at the same time? Michael came in loud and jaggedy so off he went
Anyway, cold and dull but 5 degrees and I wanted to go out so we went, Willow pulled joggers over leggings (i live with a man who wears leggings?😂😳 ) and a long sleeved thermal top under his hoodie, he tried to look enthusiastic, he really did, Off we set walking round the park, then time to run, soon the stitch, but good to be out, think we’ve lost some fitness over winter, it was a struggle, one foot in front of the other, onwards, I left the track and ran on grass, not too muddy and makes a change, but....where is Willow??? back in the car, engine and heater on so i said I’d run home, legs like lead I plodded off, nearly flagged him down but kept going, up and over the railway bridge, slowed to a walk, turn for home, legs weeping very slow plod, breathing has settled and heart rate barely worth a mention, zombies chasing me, can’t go much faster, but home and the dinner i put in before I went out is cooking nicely, Willow handed me a cup of tea, I so love that man
Happy valentine’s day and happy running

I didn’t realise till it happened how tough the miserable weather made getting out running. Big congratulations on getting out there. I’m starting to get out again too.
Lol 😆 🤨😠😤 love reading your posts!!Ah well done for getting out today for a run, especially after a rubbish day at work
👏👏 Ah a cup of tea ☕️ (especially when made for you) always makes things better 😁Hope you you and Willow enjoyed your dinner 🥘 and have a lovely 😊 evening. Happy Valentine’s Day to you both ❤️❤️❤️ X
I’m assistant manager so very stressful at times but covering shifts leading tonight and sleeping at work, I thought i was doing great when suddenly time had flown past and i’m not finished yet lol, looking forward to going to bed, up at 6 to start again x
It went so much better than expected. I was really well supported. My toes were sore at one point but rested and took my shoes of for a while. I did get an episode of chest tightness but I just had to stop and rest and take my time, I just need to learn to pace myself. It felt so good to be back with my work friends and patients. Felt so amazing to go back. I had my vaccine on Wednesday, have felt even more fatigued the last few days so have rested and today I felt fine.
Oh that’s good to hear, I slept loads for the first few days after the vaccine, just take it steady and you will take work in your stride again, and run on days off and revel in the joy of living 😀x
Well done on that run after a crappy day at work and the odds being stacked against you.Willow bailed out especially just to get that cup of tea ready for you when you needed it most! What a star ⭐
Hope you had a nice dinner and are enjoying your evening
Happy Valentine’s day to you too It was a bit crappy but it’s always harder running after work and we haven’t through winter so probably tuesdays run will be better
I’ve been looking for months for bathroom cabinets for work and finally have found reasonably priced ones and just bought 12 so feeling a bit more successful
We can relax now although both had zig zag migraine lines so plenty of pain pills and no tv tonight lol oh life is hilarious at times, spring is coming though
Oh well done on getting out there and running after a tough day at work. 👍
It is annoying though when things aren’t quite right...or you’re well down the road before you realise that you’ve miscalculated the number of layers needed...so you either freeze or boil 🥶🥵😫
It’s only our second winter and last year we were very ill in January so we’re expecting to run more this January but it seems we don’t like running in cold dark and wet so are looking forward to better weather
All those things sent to try you, but still you got out there, so very well done! Willow obviously doesn’t like the cold, but he did try and then made you a cuppa at just the right time! I call that a successful run 👏👏👏👍
Oh what a lovely run! 😆 Still, can't complain, eh, my lovely! I don't know who is hardest, you for going after a rubbish day at work, or Willow for allowing himself to be dragged along!Gold star to you both I reckon.
Thanks, I developed a migraine later sunday evening and am only just beginning to feel normal add to that the passing of someone at work and it’s been a non running week, on a more positive note though my carpassed it’s MOT so i’m pleased about that Poor Willow, he really doesn’t like going out in the cold and wet but if i’m enthusiastic he will always come along even if he only runs for a while, he did point out to me he ran fir 24 minutes so not too shabby really 😀
Thank you, it still feels strange to be going to work when so many are working from home, but it’ll be most odd for them when they have to go backHugs back this forum has helped us through so much, here’s a pic of me in my scrubs and mask lol
It's my favourite mask & glasses combo! I think I must do breathing wrong, because I always steam up like I've walked into a sauna within seconds. Keep on keeping on xx
