Yes it was.
While at work I started to yawn, oh dear I thought, I’m going for a run after work and here I sit yawning over my desk, my legs are hanging off the chair like a couple of lumps of jelly, my stomach is in a state of shock, work food does that! Anyway 2.30 comes around slowly, “Are you going home?” says a colleague, Yes I am I’m going for a run!
Home, no music, don’t need to change because I wore leggings and a tee shirt to work yesterday under my scrubs, washed them overnight and put them back on this morning.
So we drove to the river, got out the car and….. flipping heck it’s cold out here, i’d forgotten it’s always colder by the river. The tide is low and there’s an island where there’s usually water. Busy busy, long queue for the coffee van, warm up walk pass that, over the bridge, we really aren’t dressed for this cold, i didn’t even put my buff on so can’t pull it over mouth and nose, cold air hurts to breathe in, stop moaning and run!!
So we did, oh it’s cold, Willow ran off in front, I’m wondering how long i can keep this up, glance up, Willow is walking!!! “Willow!!!” I shout out and he starts running again, I decide to catch him up so put in a bit of effort, pass him and…. that’s it, I walk a little so we jeff from there, all 12 minutes of it!!!
No music, can hear cars crossing the bridge getting louder as we get closer, breathing in really cold air with not enough clothes on. Man we are soft in the south! 😂
Back to the bridge run across it and in the car! now home, dinner on and I need to bake a batch of brownies but might have a nap first. Next run tuesday as it’s my day off!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend
